Well, my college thesis was for an adaptive sampling particle simulation algorithm. It ran water simulations much faster than the current ODT system. Unfortunately, just as I was filing for the patent, a doctor from Berkley (I think) released an almost identical, but even more efficient algorithm
I wrote a number of AI algorithm for teamwork, both as assistance for the player and a team-based enemy system. Worked well, but I never released a game using it.
Ah, and my first game, I did for my senior project in high school. Contact, used a Wolfenstien-style raytracer that I wrote myself. Too bad that at the time I didn't know about adaptive sampling and other time savers.
Now I'm working too much and don't have time for my own R&D. I wrote a GUI and scripting engine for my company called LiveRuntime and LiveScript+
I wrote a clone of cp, unix console copy, but with a progressbar. Didn't finish it, though.
April Ryan is my friend,
Every sorrow she can mend.
When i visit her dark realm,
Does it simply overwhelm.
