How'd you come up with the value 1 million? Sounds like you could do all of that with a few thousand + a bank loan. My grandfather made millions in the stock market, but I wouldn't recommend it, more people go broke than strike it rich.

What you want is some large, high return investments, but a million dollars may take a few years. The stock market is very low right now, so it has no where to go but up. Invest in companies that are too big to fail for a safety net, and also some smaller ones that are riskier, but offer a higher return.

Get into a skilled profession where you can become self employed and charge a ridiculous daily rate for your skills Services that will always be required, just as plumber, electrician etc...

Failing that, if you're into IT then Business Analysis, Project Management, testing is a good one if you can get into it, you can command up to £1000 a day for working on contracts, if you're good enough and have the experience.

If you have internet and have a job to invest your pretty much set. Learn about Internet Marketing, there's so many opportunities for you to get loads of cash. It's like pretty much like any other job..you have to learn it. But once you do, you will have a opportunity to setup websites and either become an affiliate and get commissions or create your own e-book and sell it. Regardless the internet is a great way to make money.

There's many e-books you can get free, similar to downloading music but I'll let you figure that one out. Once you get e-books about internet/affiliate marketing study it like the bible and work towards it. If your serious, you will find a way.
