Tell me about the senses.

What do your senses mean to you? Which do you 'prefer'?

For me... scent has always had a huge impact on me. If I'm walking and I smell something my mind instantly goes back and remembers every time in the past that I've smelled that scent. The problem for me is that if I can't figure out what the smell is or what it reminds me of I obsess over it till I do find out. For me, scent is a huge factor in memory recall and is the largest cause of nostalgia for me. At least once every few weeks I'll smell something that brings me back to an old house, or an old friend, highschool. Heck, I can ecven identify friends by their scent

etc. Hearing is a close second for me... anything from a complex song, so a single tone can fill my mind with memorys.

Anyways, what do the senses mean to you?

Yea, I know what you mean. I am the same. But pretty much every one of my senses do that.

It is like, on certain summer days, there is a smell about the air, the feel of the air, the way the air looks with the sun, the sound of cars passing by, the sound of the birds. That all brings back old childhood memories which at the time of being a child I never really paid attention to those things.

By the way... This thread technically doesn't belong here... I don't blame you though... this section is hella complicated (for knowing what belongs)

Not sure if this counts, but I associate a lot of random things with songs. Like "Money Can't Buy It" reminds me of an MMORPG I played in 6th grade... so random. And the smell of boat gas reminds me of the lake I go/went to every summer.

Yea, same. Like the song "Ain't it fun" by GnR reminds me of the map "Castle" in CoD 5.

Associate with nice quiet lat night drives... since it was always playing when I was young driving to visit family.

Joe Cocker (Beatles) - With a lil' help
Wonderyears of course! I get that warm fuzzy nostalgic feeling inside whenever I hear Joe's voice... reminds me of my childhood and jungle gyms at the trailerpark.

"Why Not" by I don't remember who reminds me of Mint from a game for the PS1 called Threads of Fate. Good game. =)

I associate linken park with my fanfic days lol.

I associate tool with playing World of Warcraft...

I hardy listen to any music these days...just the odd song here and there.
