All Staff: Please Read
Regarding the issues of copyrights, publishing money, ect.
As it stands right now, there are NO solid plans to publish this book. It is a community project. It is a non-profit venture. I don't know where anyone got the idea that we could, with so many people involved, actually sell this book through a regular publisher, or that we'd make a huge fortune.
My understanding at this point as far as the project's connection to DV is that while DV is kindly hosting us, the book is not officially a Dreamviews product, and as such, DV does not hold ownership or copyright to any of the content. If this changes, most likely the project will be moved and hosted elsewhere or halted altogether.
Copyright to content will belong to each contributor.
In other words, don't expect to make any money from contributing. Right now we are ALL volunteers.
This project is an attempt to consolidate what we know about dreaming and lucid dreaming based on the most credible information we can find. We wish to dispel common myths and biased opinions by using only factual information. In this way, both people on DV as well as those in the far reaches of the internets can learn more about lucid dreaming without having to wade through thread after thread of opinionated pissing matches.
In other words, it's just a fun project for people to get together and do. If you're seeking a fortune, go write your own book and have it published.Last edited by Naiya; 07-10-2009 at 03:59 PM.

understood. though i think it would still be frickin' sweet to one day hold a copy of this book in my own hands even if it could be without profit.

That's the plan. We're shooting to have this done in 12 months time but if it's done in less...even better.

Man. i wish we could publish it. It would be awesome to have a book in my hands that I actually helped writing........ Oh well. At least I still like to write..
