      How do you "stabilize" SP?

I've had SP several times now. At first I got too excited and it ended, but now it's just mildly annoying but also exciting because I know I can get to a lucid dream from it. Usually I get SP after a dream fades out, and as it's fading out I become lucid and decide to try DEILD. Last night the SP also started to fade out though, and I was wondering if there was a way to stabilize it when that happens.

Also, before you enter a dream, does the SP sort of fade out, end abruptly, or form a dream scene which you then enter?

just try to relax. Sometimes a scene will form, and sometimes you'll just have a false awakening of being in your room. My advice would be to just wait till everything dies down....open your eyes and do a RC right off the bat if you don't find that the dream has started after everything has settled.

i've heard that as you feel your heart rate rising, and lucidity start to fade, spinning helps retain lucidity. Whenever you stop spinning you should notice the dream world retaining its old shape. While spinning you can also try thinking of whatever you want to do while lucid, this may increase chances of doing what you want

I think you misunderstood. He wasn't talking about stabilizing the dream, he was talking about SP (sleep paralysis).

For me it just fades away, but I still feel a pressure on my head. Like it's being pushed into the pillow. And I also feel dizzy.
