I need a WILD/WBTB guide over the summer.

Well, the school year ends 9 days from now, and I can finally devote the time I need into techniques such as WILD and WBTB without my parents questioning why I'm up so late, and without being exhausted for school. I don't even fully understand the concept of a WILD, though I know the basics. Can somebody help me through my first couple of WILD's until I get the hang of it? It would be much appreciated.

I'm sure a well respected long time member will come along and graciously offer you their assistance. But in the few minutes before that happens, I was curious why you say that WILD would keep you up late at night and tired the next day? I always found that practicing the technique(s) resulted in my appearing to be in bed for the night at an earlier time. And if I woke up at 3am, I only needed to stay awake for maybe 20 minutes.

I've needed a lot more sleep lately, and don't have as much time every night to sleep, already causing another problem. And if I stay up for 20 minutes, I might not get to sleep for another 45. Plus, my mom has chronic insomnia, so she might come in and find me up at 3 A.M. on a school night. All around, it just wouldn't be easy. Maybe when I become better with the technique.

Update. I've pmed oniman and will be guiding him through the WBTB as best I can. My WILDing record isn't super successful, though, so anyone with alot of WILDs may want to help him out there.

I, too, am interested. Oniman, good luck on your endeavors! Keep us(me) updated haha. I want to start WILDing, but I'm waiting until I can get on a regimented sleep schedule (which is soon).

soon my summer breaks start too and I also want to focus on that method. I already know I´m gonna have a complete different daily rhythm (staying up for 40 hours etc...), but this should help me with those techniques I guess.

Do you guys think it could help if I make a real written down plan about when to wake up, what to do, what to dream about etc.?
I have 6 weeks, so I was thinking about trying 6 different WILD methods (one week each) or do you think this is too less time and I should rather stick to 3 techniques for 2 weeks each or maybe even only to one technique?

@oniman7: I hope its ok if I use this thread too since we´re trying to do exactly the same during summer break Maybe we can motivate each other and tell us about our success and failures. Maybe we´re gonna be better lucid dreamers after the few weeks.
