      Where do your WILDs begin?

I was wondering how often WILDers find themselves in a dream recreation of their rooms or houses when the dream first starts?

And of the times you don't find yourself at home, do you remember experiencing HI before hand?

Well, I've had 11 WILDs and in 7 of them the dream started where I fell asleep (my house, bedroom/living room). Of the other 4 WILDs the dreams started: In my backyard, a museum's front steps in a big city, the top of a cliff, and an abandoned sanctuary.

Backyard - HI was swirling stars and clouds. Woke up outside staring at night sky.

Museum - HI was brief, very stormy swirling weather. Woke up on museum steps, took flight, and weather changed to the HI storm.

Top of Cliff - no recollection of HI. Very short LD.

Sanctuary - Intense SP vibration, heard someone running around my body, heard a woman scream, alot of random quick flashes of HI.

I've had 7 WILDs and 5 of them started in my bed, one near my bed and the other one in the school. I can't recall any HI

If it's a DEILD, right back into that last dream. As I'm visualizing the last dream, I don't really think there's any HH involved. 3-5 WILDs (these are fuzzier because I chain them again and again so I don't have an exact number for the times I've managed this. Usually I can do 3-4 in a chain, and it's happened maybe 4 times max.
A few, I found myself in my bedroom but standing up instead of laying in bed. Usually no HH, just suddenly finding myself standing up across the room. two WILDs

The most extreme one I've had was
...but then I start seeing something on the back of my eyelids. Everything turns pure white, but I feel like I can see shapes looming. It looks like fog, and I realize that I am inside a dream! I recall the conversation in this thread http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=64920 about fog, and I take a deep breath and blow it out, causing the fog to disperse. The next thing I know the beeping is the sound of horns. I am standing on a large red bridge, standing on the crumpled hood of a car.
Something notable about that one was that I kept hearing an annoying beeping sound that may have actually just been a hallucination. Either way, the dream formed around it with a lot of angry drivers honking at me. one wild

      (Who moved this thread!?!?)

Thanks for the replies. Those are pretty well the answers I was expecting to hear. Confirms my theory that dreams are initially based on HI, and in cases where HI is skipped, they are based on the last thing your were aware of. Generally speaking, all dreams are based on the last thing you were aware of.

Which deals a severe blow to OBEs and such, which are clearly just dreams.

If I'm doing a willful visualization while I WILD, my initial environment will be related to (but not exactly!!) whatever I'm visualizing. Sometimes it is related to it in a bizarre way.

I don't have a lot of WILDs that start out in my bedroom, like a FA.

Lots of times, I can follow hypnagogic sounds into a dream.

Off the top of my head, I agree that most of my WILDs start out from my HI, whether I create it or not.

They start on the place I'm vizualising, of course. HI/HH don't helps much considering I only hear things <.< (excepting for the bear time)

So it generally starts in a place that is not my house.

I've had ten WILDs so far and, crap, I'm forgetting what happened with a few of the earlier ones. I really need to start a DJ. I'm very frustrated right now. . .

Okay, for the ones I do remember well enough, the more recent and important ones, the following is true and may (or may not) help to strengthen your theory:

All, but one, began as FAs. The one that didn't began with me floating in an empty void. For this one, I do not remember any HI, nor do I remember exactly what I did to achieve this state. I do remember the sensation of sudden weightlessness, as the tactile world around me faded away into a warm nothing.

The other ones: I do remember HI for many of them, but they were all HI revolving around the room I was in.

one of the wilds from my DJ when I didn't end up in my room

I planed on waking up at 8 to try to wild...but i woke up right after that first dream which was only like three hours later. Tried to WILD and laid there for maybe an hour and a half from what it seems...couldn't go to sleep...changed positions where i was on my back and I woke up in a huge all white room. It had and long window going the length of it and it had no curtains. I could see the moon outside and it was "c" shaped. The room was filled with all types of toys, new and old. Mainly stuffed animals, a statue and smaller things. and I remember several of them coming to life including this toy dog. Walking and clarity didn't take a long time like my normal WILDs, so I started heading off as soon as I could cause of all the crap that was going on. By the time I got to the end of the room (I'm guessing it was L shaped, and I was getting to the corner) I woke up.

oh yeah....and I had a short WILD today...I stayed the night at someome elses house, and when the WILD started it was just like a FA because I was in the same exat room when it started out....as opposed to when I end up in my room.

      Mostly FA's in my room.
Sometimes another bed in an imaginary room.

The only times that have been different I entered a dream via "the void" so HI and pretty lights etc.
