When I try to WILD there's a buzzing in my head, I just listen to the buzzing and eventually that works
When I first started trying to do WILDs, or even just to get to SP I would try counting my breaths, or just trying to think about nothing. But nothing really helped me get to SP faster. What does work for me though, which I haven't found in any thread is to concentrate on the ringing in your ears. Make sure your room is mostly quiet and try to hear the natural ringing in your head. Try and concentrate on it enough to make it louder and keep it that way, if you lose concentration and the ringing starts to fade, just try to bring it back.
Eventually, the ringing will be the only thing in your mind, and will allow you to relax your body more. At least it does for me. I've been doing this for around a month practicing to get into SP more quickly for a nice WILD and it seems to work most of the time that I try it. It might not work for everyone, but it could help out some people who are having a hard relaxing their mind.

hmm, that seems interesting. I think I'll try this. My problem is that whenever I WILD my mind drifts until I fall asleep. This should give me something to focus on that isn't so stimulating that it keeps me awake.

That ringing/buzzing noise sometimes distracts me in annoying ways.
Will try to use it to help me WILD tonight instead of thinking of it as something annoying.

yeah, I tryied it 3 times....
the 3 times I fail, but you give me the energy to try again..
thanks! hope it works for you all!
recently, its been harder for me to use this technique due to the "east coast triple threat" (aka my three kittens) running around and making too much noise for me to concentrate.
but i did find out that it is easier to concentrate on the ringing noise by having a blanket or something behind your head pushing on your ears a little bit when you try it.

I get it so loud it hurts.
if you can read this then you are about to be punched
I agree with fuci-lurr, this is how I usually get WILD. The ringing eventually gets louder and louder and reaches a point where it "pings" in one ear, R.C, luccccccccccccccccccid![]()
AWAKE?
You guys try this before sleeping or after you've slept a few hours?
Goal: do a Kamehameha.
It seems to, sometimes. When I am in sleep paralysis and not in a dream yet, concentrating on it makes it louder and louder and my body starts tingling more and more - but, it really pulls me "in" and keeps me in this state so I can enter a dream without the fear of waking up. I don't know up to which point, because the few time I've been there I had reasons to wake up (... reaons... well... scary experiences...) but hey, it definitely is a way of moving your awareness to your "inner" senses![]()
how long do you usually listen to the ringing? Is it like five minutes or an hour or so? I just want to know so I can see how long it'll take me to get into SP.
