I don't remember dreaming in surgery. I tried to incubate one.

So has anyone tried WILDing while being put to sleep for some operation? I just gonna be getting my wisedom teeth out tomorrow and firgure I might try it. I never been much into WILDing as it takes me a while to get to sleep. And WILD is just saying "I am dreaming" or somthing like that over and over again til you fall asleep? Sry if theres a thread about this somewhere... and I probaly spelled surgury wrong. BANANA
Edit:
Oh yea, I'm not sure if this falls into the same catagory, but has anyone ever had any dreams when they have fainted? I remember when I was giving blood one time I fainted twice, the first time it felt like I just closed my eyes and I was thinking weird things, not really dreaming but still... has anyone else have any experiances like that?

if you can read this then you are about to be punched

I'd think that whatever they use for surgery suppresses REM sleep, which would make recall very elusive. I suppose its possible though. Better wait for the real experts to get here. Either way, its worth a try, right?

Do they put to sleep just to get teeth out?![]()
It always amuses me when so-called skeptics are using words "subconscious" and "science" in one sentence, and when it suddenly turns out they believe in God.

Yea, wisedom teeth they do, they have to like cut into the gum and dig em out, I heard some people just get numbed but my sister did it and got an IV and was put to sleep. Maybe it depends on the doctor...?
Awww, it supresses REM sleep? But yea, I'll try it anyways, some dreams have been known to happen in the later stages of none REM sleep though... I'll tell ya'll if anything hapens or not.

You generally don't have any concsiouness under general anesthesia.
It would be close to impossible to WILD.
I agree. The stuff that they give you knocks your mind out too. It's like flipping a switch, one minute you're awake, the next your not. Because its an almost instant loss of conscioussness, I don't even think a dream will form unless you are under for a very long time.

Well, when I was under general anesthesia I've seen some visions but they were short, and next thing I remember - someone tries to wake me up.

Yea, I kind of tried, nothing :-(
When I woke up I recalled some like thinking thoughts but not dreams, kind of like blood donor de ja vu.

Whenever I got put under sleeping gas, I hallucinated a lot, and felt like I was in an alternate dimension of some sort.
If they're using sleeping gas I'd try, if they're hooking you up to an IV and using drugs, I wouldn't bother, but try nonetheless and let us know how it goes.
Last year I had an operation and I fell asleep so fast that I didnt even notice I got tired.
I guess it´s impossible to WILD when you dont even have the chance to relaxe.
Once I was put to sleep for a root canal, I had a semi lucid dream, mostly because of the fact I am afraid of needles and my mind resisted sleep. It was a forced dream
.
I remember when i had my second heart surgery when i was 6 or so, i had a really real dream, probably my most vivid and realistic to date.
They stop your blood flow and heart and everything though so i dont know how i even had a dream but i remember having it and it was a wonderful experience

I had my wisdom's teeth removed today. I only got something to block the pain, general anaesthesia sounds over the top to me for a 10-20 minute simple surgery... Or was there more to it for you?
Staying awake to chase a dream...
