Meal Planning
So, I've decided to finally take my weight training seriously on a nutritional level. However, I've found this difficult to do, since I have to plan my meals and things. So I've decided to take it a day at a time for the first week and by the end of the week I should have a variety of meals planned. I would really appreciate some input. For tomorrow:
7:00 Meal
2 eggs, fried;
3 slices multi-grain bread, toasted;
1 cup rice crispies cereal with milk;
1 cup orange juice;
9:00 Meal
2 cups brown rice, mixed with
1 can of tuna;
2 hardboiled eggs
11:00 Meal
1 Ham, lettuce, and tomato sandwich
1 can tuna
1 slice blueberry pie
1 carton 1% milk
6:00 Meal
2 Tuna Sandwiches
1 cup brown rice
8:00 Meal
2 Hamburgers
1 cup brown rice
So, there you have it. Of course, Ill be drinking more than I've planned, but all water, Didn't see the need to include that.

Hey KingCarnie, good to see you're thinking about your nutrition. Now i'm no expert in the field but looking at your meal plan i really think you should look at including more fresh vegetables. You must be doing a hell of a lot of exercise cos thats a lot of carbs!.

Yep, exercise is something I'm definitely doing a lot of. Two hours of football a day, more on weekends. Just today we practiced for six hours! I swear my coach is trying to kill me. Plus, I'm doing on-season strength training in my spare time, since my coach also seems to think that that's something that should only be done off-season.
Anyway, at the moment we don't have any vegetables in the house. My parents say that if I don't eat what they cook or what they buy I have to buy it myself. They are definitely not big on veggies and I'm currently broke. (A sad side-effect of having no time for a job). However, as soon as I can I'm planning on adding those in.

Hmm ok, well vegetables are pretty important. I always find i feel healthier and have more energy if i'm eating veggies. They're bloody cheap and easy to cook, i usually steam them. If you can't manage that then one shortcut is wheatgrass juice. I don't know about where you are but where i am you can get a shot for a couple of bucks - which is nutritionally equivalent to eating 2kg of fresh vegetables. One or two a week would be a good start.
