Thread: Is psychokenisis learnable?

Is psychokenisis provable? That's where I'd start the investigation, find someone that had proved they could do it, then ask them questions and observe. I imagine just seeing it for yourself would unlock some mental belief barriers that were getting in the way.

It sure is. I use my mind to move things all the time. Like right now, my brain is sending out electromagnetic signals to my fingers, causing them to move under my command and type this message. Surreal.

But seriously. You know how messy it would be if people were inherently psychokinetic? That also implies that some animals could have it, too (our closest relatives). We are confined to bodies for a reason. Sure, the appearance of psychokinesis is learnable. I use it all the time in front of bored little kids, but I call it by its proper name: parlor magic.

But what about real PK?

Also, Abra, I'm interested in learning your version too. Sounds like it could be useful. ^_^

Spoonbending? Eh, there are several ways to do that. My favorite is weakening the spoon beforehand. For instance, I'll be at a restaurant and weaken the spoon under the table, and then I'll bring the topic of conversation to magic. The spoon should be pretty weak by then, so all I have to do is hold it horizontally (or perhaps push it lightly with my pinky or hold it by the scooping end, if not weak enough). I can do the 'already-bent' perception trick, and the 'quick-squeeze' trick, but my presentation is too sloppy to use those in public.

Its very learnable, and I have learned it myself. Though I dont go to this forum anymore, this is my last post. Feel free to contact me about it though. Skeptic or not.

I've never seen any evidence that it exists. So I'll go with maybe. But I'm not sure how.

Once upon a time I saw a poorly made video of a spinning piece of origami. That's about the best evidence anyone's been able to come up with... :/

If it is real, it must be extremely hard to do, very limited in scope, and rarely learned. That or everyone that knows it doesn't want to share it at all. But then the guy above apparently does, so what's the deal?

The oddest thing I've seen documented is the Buddhists warming themselves, but that's understandable - extreme control over bodily functions. That's where I currently draw my belief line. Anything beyond that is subject to the burden of proof before I entertain its validity.

I think its possible, but barely attainable. The most convincing video I saw was of a quarter being lifted up slightly inside an overturned cup. If someone could just lift up some water, or some sand... I'd believe it completely.

.....I'm getting really annoyed at how easily people are falling for psycho-nonsense like this. This video literally proves nothing. And no video ever will prove anything even slightly "psychic".

Simply put, psychokenisis isn't learnable, because it isn't real. Just accept it. No-one can actually move stuff with their minds.

And if you think you can, I think it's time for a good old reality check. If that fails....you're mental. You are literally mental.

Maybe he is a psion and just says that because he doesn't want anyone else to learn this stuff. Maybe he wants to be the only one on this planet with this skills

i am not completely sceptical about telekinesis, but that youtube video was definetely a fake, a lot of people know that illusion, it probably has something to do with static electricity. but as i said, i think there very well may be people with the genuine ability to do it.

And where does it say that PK has been proven impossible?? Another thing, my school won't even let us use wiki as they say it is a bad source of information. "there is no scientific evidence that has gone unchallenged that shows psychokinesis exists" Does that say "There is scientific evidence that PK does not exist?" No, It says that it hasn't been proven, not that it doesn't exist. Use logic dude, I can give you a very scientific reason as to how it could be possible, just ask if you want me to tell it just stop quoting sources and thinking its proof that you're right

Video isn't that great... but you then go on to say no video would... So even if it was real you wouldn't believe it.

I like to think that lucid dreamers try to apply lucidity to every aspect of thier lives. That means being able to think critically, asking questions, looking for evidence to back up what they think to be the truth. Why can we have lucid dreams? because we perform a simple experimental tast (a reality test) and then use that evidence to draw a conclusion.

So with that in mind, this video tells us nothing.
However, if you use your mind, and a little bit of waking lucidity, and do a bit of research...
