      Soft, smooth skin.

      Simple question...

I would like to make my skin soft and smooth. What kind of lotions can I get to help me obtain such things?

I am trying to take better care of my skin and how I see myself.

50% organic olive oil (or organic jojoba oil or organic sunflower seed oil), and 50% organic castor oil (this is the base). Use it on your skin twice a day, rub it in vigorously.

I've been doing this for months now. Caramel lusciousness.

Are there any products that are made like that? I would prefer having one thing instead of having to buy two things and mix them together.

You must point yourself towards Africa, slayer, for it is there that you will find what you seek. The mud of the ancients. Only the power of gods can rejuvenate the skin of your body, and restore what once was. This quest will confront you with situations that you have never been faced with before, and you will make decisions that go against everything you have learned, but in the end, you will find what you seek, for it also seeks you. Go now, before it is too late!

edit: oh yeah, or you can just use that oil thing Jeff mentioned, that will probably work just as well, and it won't give you malaria.

Hm maybe. But it's not wise to have pre-mixed stuff since everyone's skin type is different. I've found 50/50 works for me but 40/60 may work for you. Especially if you have oily skin. The oilier your skin, the more castor oil base you'll want to have in. In essence, it's wise to do the mixing on your own. I mix mine in a bowl and pour it into a medicine dropper. In the morning, I drop 3 drops on my palm and massage it around my face. I don't use lotion on my face nor do I use soap. Just the OCM.

Wait so how do I know how much to pour into a bowl of each kind? Should I get a large measuring cup and pour one type of oil in it, and then the other type until it's full?

And is this just for the face area? I'm looking to do this on my arms and legs as well.

You'll have to experiment and find out what works for you. But I'd start out using 50/50. As far as the quantity, if you're wanting to put it all over your body, maybe using an empty lotion bottle or something would be ideal to put the mixture in.

Yep. And shake it up baby!

Primarily for the face for people with acne and such, but it works all over. I've used it on my arms before.

Edit: I got my products from the organic health food store, you'll probably want to do the same.

I just need some hand moisturizer or something. I crack my knuckles and the area between them is often white with dry skin, and it's worse in winter. A few days ago there was even an open wound between my fingers from it.

Haha. I know how it sounds. But I needed something to combat my acne. Hadn't looked back since.

Wouldn't application of oil to the face make acne worse?

Turns out, nope. Oil dissolves oil. Weird but works.

Just be careful. using oil on your face might not be right for all skin types.

There is a a lotion called Dragon Lotion.. Dr. Oz says it is good for penetrating very dry and cracked skin and it ends up being smooth and soft.

This is what I do, although I'm a girl so you may change things up and drop others

I use a moisturising bubble bath (I cannot put into words how much I love baths. I don't understand people who prefer showers) and a moisturising shower gel. I also exfoliate my whole body (I do this when my skin is dry) every two days to get rid of dead skin using a large bristle brush. Then twice a day I use a moisturiser. It's just whatever people give me, since I get a lot for birthdays and christmas.

For my face I use an exfoliating scrub every two days, which is St. Ives apricot scrub. I also use a face wash morning and night, along with a moisturiser.

Makes your skin so soft and smooth... Smells good too.

I don't think there's anything wrong with guys taking care of themselves. I would much rather a guy had soft skin than rough, dry skin. My brother uses moisturiser and he's a royal marine, shows what a "massive girl" he is

Hey you should wash your face on daily base with a good cleanser and also with water 3 to 5 times a day....... Use the milk protein and some fruit juices to freshen your skin....

I was looking for castor oil to try the oil thing, but apparently they don't sell it in chemists/drugstores in the UK because it's a laxative and pregnant women use it to go into labour. I guess I could order some.

Actually, the reason why your skin is so dry is because of the dead skin cells on your body.

There are these gloves you can wear in the shower **i got mine at Dollar Tree** that looks almost look like a Chore Boy.. but you put soap on it and wash your body and face with it.
You wont physically see anything change but scrubbing your face and skin lightly for 5-8 minutes a piece... I guarantee you, that your skin will be soft.

Or, as we did in olden times, you can drink the water that your body is trying to tell you you're not getting enough of.

Also don't scrub so hard in the shower, if that's what you're doing already. Removing that top layer of skin makes the other layers more susceptible to disease. Acne can be caused by heavy scrubbing, too many oils/fats in foods, and not enough water.

First off, avoid taking hot showers for long periods of time. Hot water can dry your skin and make it rough especially if you scrub too hard.

As for products, I use Dermalogica body wash and a body hydrating cream. I've found that this brand suits my skin. You can ask your dermatologist about brands that would suit you and what ingredients you should avoid to not add to the dryness of your skin.
