Remembering the previous dream in a dream.

I have been experiencing this weird phenomenon, where a dream will end and in my ’dream universe,’ previous dreams are considered as 'yesterday.'

Example: I dreamed I was with some DCs, parkouring near a highway. In the next dream, I am home and the same DCs visit me. I then suggest that we parkour at the same place we were at yesterday.

This has happened more times then I can count. Have any of you experienced something like this?

I've experienced this phenomenon many times! I've had long strings of dreams that piece together perfectly. Unfortunately, this has inhibited my lucid dreaming attempts because since I remember what happened earlier, and since my dreams tend to be relatively plausible, the "what have I done recently" reality check fails.

A weird variation of this, is where my dreams all start in the same manor, but branch off into many different possibilities. For example, I come to a branch in a cave, one day I go right, and the next, I go left yet all the experiences I've had the previous day seem to still have happened. For instance: I blow up TNT in the left tunnel and hear it in the right the next day. (Talk about my subconscious messing with me!)

Lately, some of my dreams have been referencing other dreams, or straight out acknowledging them as dreams, such as (upon meeting a character for the second time) "I wonde if he will be as timid as in the previous dream". Another thing was once when I dreamed that two persons had something in common, and forgot what it was when I woke up. The next time I saw the two of them together in a dream, I was reminded of the previous dream and rewinded it to see what it was they had in common. I don't think the second dream got it right, though.
