Hey dude! We dream up to 4-7 times EVERY night, that's because that's the number of times we are likely to experience REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is the stage of sleep in which dreaming mainly occurs. So you don't need to worry about how to increase your number of dreams, you are dreaming alright. You are just having trouble remembering your dreams, what you need to focus on is on your dream recall! Just go look for techniques on how to enhance your dream recall.

And nice choice, MILD is a very good technique, but in order for it to work you need to remember at least one dream per night to get to know your dream signs, that way you will become lucid a lot easier!

As PRtitohp5 already said, you are in fact dreaming, you just need to remember them Most people feel the same way, that if they dont remember them, then they didnt have any. Have you tried using auto-suggestion yet? It is a very powerful tool that can even be used to help induce lucids. Look into it and practice, and I am sure you will remember more dreams!

About the only way you can dream more often, Jimbo, is sleep more often.

Seriously. If you want more dreams, tack a couple extra hours of sleep at the end of your normal night's sleep cycle. You will have more dreams simply because you are still asleep, but also because REM periods will be jammed together at that point.

So if you can sleep more, you can dream more. If not, well, listen to the other guys here, because you are dreaming all night, and need only remember that you did so.

I have found that listening to music that you personally like right before bed results in more vivid and exciting dreams that you are more likely to remember. Also, writing dreams down every morning is good for remembering dreams. You will notice that in no time, the length of your written dreams will increase dramatically because you will be able to remember more and more details.

Do you mean by saying over and over again throughout the day that I will remember my dreams?

It is not just a matter of simply saying it over and over again. You do this just before bed, for about 10 minutes or so. The mantra that you recite, you have to believe. You cannot say it hollowly just to say it or it wont work. You have to believe it yourself and convince your mind so. You are essentially placing a psychological sticky note to remember to do something

When you wake up, just stay in bed for 10/15 minutes, and try to remember your dreams. What also works for me, is to say this to myself: "I want to remember my dreams". I repeat that a couple times and if that doesn't work, I scan my brain, thinking of everything and every person I know, because when I think of a person which was in my dream, I'm able to recall the rest of my dream too.
