Reocurring Dream Figures (Has anyone else experienced this)

This is just a question I ask out of sheer curiosity. I have found that whenever I befriend a denizen (I call my dream figures denizens) I will sometimes see that denizen again in future dreams. Thing is these denizens I befriend have their own personalities and even their own back stories. And they age and mature over the years. I will see these people in my dreams again and again over the course of years and we will always recognize one another. The longest I have known a denizen is twelve years. I have even know some who have started families and I have witnessed their kids grow up along with them. I will also have hostile dream figures who will reoccur and recognize (these are, like, my long term rivals and enemies). It's weird but also kind of cool, it's like they exist within their own little world.

So my question is, has anybody else experienced anything like this? Where they actually make long term friends out of their dream figures or something?

The only people I see in the dream worlds repeatedly are people from the real world, the rest are random people, or could be based on real people I met during recent days like from a bus ride.

People in my dreams don't just age tho, sometimes they become younger.

I was planning some time to attempt the following control exercise tho:

Find a youngish female DC, command her to become Pregnant, then command her to give birth to a female child
then command the child to grow up into a young woman, then command her to become Pregnant... etc.

See how long I can get away with this, Do the DC generations (If I get that far) resemble each other. Is that great-great-grandmother
still standing around, is she still a young DC???

The reverse of this experiment would be cool too, find a DC and command them to become younger and younger then command them to
become en-wombed (not sure how this would work tho)

That sounds interesting it is definitely worth a try. In my experience it has helped to keep track of these figures in a separate journals. Give them names and write down how many kids they have. With that you're more likely to see them again.

My cousin had characters like that in her dreams and I do as well but it is harder to make some of them appear. Others like to call what you call denizen a dream guide. When I joined dream views I had no idea what a dream guide was but after I found out I started calling my favorite reoccurring dream characters dream guides since they have different personalities and are smart enough to be one. :3 It's cool that you known yours for twelve years by the way. I've known my favorite ones for about 7 years.I did bring one back from two dreams I had when I was 5 at the age of thirteen though. Why? Because I thought that dream character was pretty cool and I wanted to have a closer connection with that dream character. That character I named is Dawn. ^^

That's cool. I'd love to hear more about some of your dream guides. That is, if you don't mind.

I've had sort of a similar experience, but over a much shorter time period than you've experienced.

I once became lucid at some sort of birthday party. I didn't know where I was, or whose birthday it was, but upon realizing that I was in a dream, I immediately became curious of my surroundings and started questioning the dream characters. It seemed like these were real people or entities from a different world. When I asked where we were, what city/state we were in at the time of the dream, they gave me an answer that was a different state than which I live but I do not remember the exact location. At this moment, I think the only time I've re-encountered my dream characters (other than people I know in the waking world) is if I wake from a dream momentarily, then fall right back asleep and practically continue on with the same dream.

Maybe the people you share dreams with are people you knew in a past life or some sort of parallel dimension.

I've also met my Dream Guide, but I've only seen him once and it was a few years ago.

Okay. Dawn is the mysterious, busy body, whose job is to keep people away from bad dream figures. Eye is the protective, social, hot tempered one who likes to fool around in the dream world. Kiro is the caring, athletic, and creative type who likes to guide me in the right path by telling me what was wrong or right at times. I knew Eye and Dawn for like 7 years but Kiro only three years. I haven't seen Kiro in a while though. He pops up like once in a blue moon. But that's because it was his time to move on from me to somewhere else in the dream world. I also annoyed him by looking for Dawn too much. : P There was also a nightmarish character that was like a boss figure that kept me from leaving my house in the dream world. I fought him a lot in the dream and learned how to move around and manipulate things easier cause of him. Known him for about 5 years. He doesn't appear anymore. Another character was this annoying girl that appeared with Eye many times. She was like my enemy even though Eye was always protecting her from me. She was very sneeky in a way. There's more characters that were apart of this dream world but they weren't as important I think.

Very cool. Your dream guides sure do sound like a personable bunch.
