Used to lucid dream every night, then they suddenly just stopped. What can I do?

They were the highlight of my life, it would be the reason I would wake up in the morning, just to wait for night so I could lucid dream again. I probably spent way too much time on here as they suddenly just stopped one day. Used to fly around all the time and was able to fully move around and explore my perception of the external world, albeit for a very short time and they my body would rouse me into a state of conscious (low expectations).

After that, I spent most of my time projecting myself into the environment in waking life, never knew this was possible. Like I just have to think about doing something, such as the feeling or texture of my water bottle next to me, and I'm able to actually feel the sensation akin to physically picking it up and feeling it. Anyone else do this, know what this is or how to control it?

that's one of the great benefits of lucid dreaming I believe, it does amazing things for your imagination, visualization, and day dreaming. These are the marks of a great lucid dreamer. Perhaps you could take this skill and turn it towards lucid dreaming? visualize becoming lucid in a dream as you fall asleep. Or, when you wake up from a non-lucid dream, replay the dream again in your imagination, but this time see your self become lucid and take control of the dream.

Now, it's interesting your lucid's just stopped altogether. Was there any significant life change around the same time your dreams stopped? There could be a psychological reason given the immediate change (which i'm totally unqualified to analyze)

If it's something more mundane (assuming you've given most techniques a fair try) you might try increasing sleeping time to kick-start things, REM cycles get lengthier as the night goes on increasing the likelihood of lucidity, oversleeping results in an exaggeratedly long cycle. You could also try supplements (which again I'm totally unqualified to expand on)

      Good luck!

That has happened to me a few times, where I just stopped lucid dreaming for a while. It was usually accompanied by stress, distractions, loss of confidence, or lack of sleep though. Are you experiencing any of those right now?

Increased motivation from activities on DV actually helped me out of those dry spells a couple of times, such as the tasks of the month or competitions. Other things that have helped me in the past were taking time to relax, meditate, sleep more, or read through some of my old dreams to remind myself that I can do some pretty neat things in dreams sometimes.

In any case, I really hope that you can start lucid dreaming again really soon if you haven't already.
