Question When I almost raped my beloved

I'll keep this short and clear; I almost raped the one I love most. There were small men in tuxedos helping me grabbing her, kinda like Cobblepot in the Detective Comics (aka. Batman). I was preparing to do the deed, but that was when I looked at her face, and saw tears rolling down her eyes. I couldn't do it. I woke up depressed and didn't leave the bed for two hours. I've never thought of rape, and I'm not even into "kinky" experiences. I love her a lot, and I'd be the first to stand up, but then I have a dream like this. What do you think it means? This is also my first post here; I made this account to post this question, as this forum seems to be up there in popularity.

Hello and welcome to dream views, even if you aren't here to study lucid dreaming!

There is actually a sub-forum for dream interpretation. Hopefully an admin could move it to its proper place?

Back on topic: anything violent like that to a loved one could definitely signify hurting her in a way you aren't aware of. This could take form as over-protection, or really anything that you may consciously be doing out of love but ends up being negative on her, even as thoughts. The men in suits you described may be represented as that, and her tears in the dream, which was rendering you unable to continue your act, could be your subconscious' way of telling you to stop it.

At least, this is what I think it means. Hope it helped .

      Moved to Dream Interpretation.

Rape in waking life is not about sex, but about control. I suspect it's the same in dreams. Even if dream seemed depressing and disturbing, I think it was actually helpful. It told you, that you could not hurt her. And as lama says, dream was about you forcing someone to do something they may not want to do. Or just cautioning you not to do it, since now you know it would feel bad for your loved one and for you as well. I know you already knew that, but I feel like sometimes dreams like to reinforce some idea in us by showing us hypothetical scenarios and how we would feel if we did that.

Thank you, gab and ParanoidLlama. Seems like I was too worried, I had thought that I had become a bad person, but it seems like it was just some sort of reflection of my fears. Again, thank you.
