      Why not ask DGs everything?

All these complicated tasks like time dilation, dream sharing, and battling be answered by your dream guide? I read dream guides are supposed to help you why not just ask them how to time dilate and other difficult questions instead of just playing with him/her in your LD.

Because dream guides can be tricksters my friend. Not all dream guides will outright tell you how to flow seamlessly throw your dreams. My dream guides (typically birds) will give me indications that I am lucid, but I don't always respond to my questions the way I want them to. Some are sarcastic, others are crude, and others will halt your progress altogether. A dream guide is just another DC and will behave as such.

Well, from what I've read they aren't like regular DCs where you can order them around and demand answers for everything. They are a manifestation of your subconsciousness, and your subconscious mind doesn't always cooperate with your conscious mind. They'll tell you what they think you need to know, because they're telling you what you feel deep down you REALLY need to know... if that makes sense. There's no harm in asking them whatever you want, as long as you don't expect them to answer you every time.

But that's just one interpretation of them, I know there are quite a few. Some people think they're just regular DCs and your mind is just making them seem a bit smarter because you want them to be. Sort of like a... I guess, dream placebo effect? And some people take a more spiritual route and say they're actual spirits sent to help you. Regardless of what they are, all the different interpretations seem to have reasons why you shouldn't boss them around.

Dang ... idk whether this is one of my DGs but in my first lucid I asked this DG / DC to give me lucidity forever, and the next day I could have these daydreams that I am lucid in. It's like hallucinations but more interactive? I still can do this up to today. Sorry off-topic....

I think you can ask them all those questions, but the real question is whether they would give it or not. All DGs are different, and they don't really have to be your slave. They may act on their own, or tell you everything you want.

Expectations can help greatly in dreams, so if you want to do anything you have mentioned, try to expect it to happen. Hey, it might just work!
