Thread: Dark LD

My dreams are dark too. The sky is always cloudy. I don't remember one dream in which the sun shined.

Maybe it just is so. I remember dreams from my childhood (when I was about 4-5 years old) and they were always at night or while it was really cloudy or raining. Nothing has changed since then.

Are your non-lucid dreams dark too? What techniques (if any) did you use to induce these LDs?

Yes they are always dark, no real techniques. They usually happen when I take alpha brain before I go to bed.

Maybe you can try a different technique? I notice that I get different types of lucid dreams depending on the technique.

For example, if I go lucid from a false awakening, then the dream usually occurs at night. But if I go lucid in a normal dream, then I just experience the normal dream while lucid.

Try a technique to create light. Shout "Let there be light!" After all, you are the god of your dream world. Might as well do some godly things.

Hi, I have the same problem, I'm always struggling with light in my lucids , I've tried Ashikael's suggestion
of shouting "give me light " etc in the past. This technique does work, but you must believe 100 % that
you are in control of the dream, any doubt and nothing seems to change. That's how it goes for me anyway .
