By lucid dreaming, you're just imagining stuff while being aware that you're imagining it. Are you scared of this? Is it scary to imagine an apple while knowing that you're imagining an apple? |
My mind is scared by lucid dreaming because i think lucid dreaming is the most impressive experience of life; i tried psychedelics and stimulants, i like the buzz, feeling my mind and my body that change.. But i was scared to become conscious in another universe, like a virtual reality , a firt person videogame; i think that most people is scared by lucid dreaming, it's difficult to accept that exists another strange universe with the same perception of waking life. |

All lucid dreaming is is realizing that you're asleep inside of a dream. |
Actually, one is asleep while they're dreaming, unless they are hallucinating. So yes, Acmic is right. |
I call shenanigans. |
Lucid dreams are literally the same thing as ordinary dreams, except for the fact that you know that you are dreaming. |

Nah, that's true. But it definetely feels intimidating. I also stand in awe of the perception in the dream. I appreciate it, it does not stop me from enjoying lucidity. |
Exactly ! I don't think that dreams are only dreams; ther's something strange, it's hard to think that dreams are only a product of our mind |
Why would it be something else or outside you? How do you even know something is within you or not? Your mind fools you all the time. Most of the things you remember are lies. The mind just fills in stuff all the time. Don't let something as uncertain and misleading as "a feeling" lead you away from reason. |

Lucid Dream Goal:
A perfect week!
One week with at least 1 Lucid Dream in every night.
See, this is where belief matters and actualy changes outcomes. What you belief does not determin ur reality, it does however determin how you react to ur reality. You belief that the intense recreation of vivid material reality in dreams is a trick of the mind. That's how you react to it. OP believes that vivid perceptual reality in dreams is indicator that this is something more than fantasy. His belief causes him to be in awe. That's just how it is, isn't it? |
Everything in reality is formulated by your mind. In fact, your reality is completely dependent on your mind. If you were missing the part of the brain which regulates touch, reality does not have any textures or feelings. If you are missing the part of the brain which regulates hearing, reality would have no sound. If the nerves between your eyes and brain are severed, reality has no color. If your body was given dopamine, your mind would interpret that as reality making you happy. All these things have to go through the mind. Think of dreaming as skipping the external stimulus and having your nerves be stimulated by the internal stimulus which are your thoughts. The nerves replicate the feelings associated with those thoughts which makes them feel so real. It is so much more vivid than daydreaming because you don't have the higher priority external stimulus interfering with the lower priority internal stimulus. |
