Do you ever randomly remember a dream you once had?

Sometimes I find myself randomly remembering certain parts of dreams that I've had yearsssssss ago. I think maybe because I've always been interested in my dreams that I subconsciously stored these memories in my head lol. I was wondering if I was the only one who's experienced this

I'd say this is quite common. The idea that the subconscious mind stores much more than we can even begin to imagine is not a new one, and from there a spark - a familiarity - is all it takes to cause a chain reaction that leads us to a "full" memory; some people even hypothesize we never truly forget anything, be it "deemed important" by us or not. Remember: a dream is a memory after it's gone, as real as any you acquire while awake.

Can't say Iv recalled dreams from years back, but pretty much everyday I remember either 1-2 fragments/ even a full dream when something external reminds me of it. Like if I see a dog during the day then I might remember a dream that had something to do with dogs.

Yes definitely! It's always a bit interesting to have something hit you so suddenly. Or to remember something you don't even recall dreaming of
