So I am guessing you either were over-tired or had had too much sleep? Either factor often contributes to sleep paralysis, when your mind is half awake and your body is asleep giving the classic feeling of being pinned down. Although your body can't move your eyes are able to open so you might flit between reality and a dream and they can merge into one. During this time you might experience visual and auditory hallucinations. People sometimes might hear a deafening noise or see a scary figure in their room. There is a lot of information to find on sleep paralysis, but bear in mind no matter how real people's experiences seem to be they are in the end just a dream. I say this in advance because some of the things you might read on the subject could make you not want to go to sleep anymore! |
