Unhappy Running but someone pulls me back like a magnet

Hello, This was happening a lot 2 years ago. I was in an isolated corridor there were bushes at the sides and a snake at the middle of the corridor. I tried to pass the snake from the sides but something was pulling me to the snake, it wa like the snake was magnetizing me back. I kept running but I wasn't moving. I was going back and forward. Something similar happend lately. I am an athlete I do triple jump, I was second in Greece in my category in 2016 and I dreamed that I was jumping, some of you might know how triple jump is like. I stepped on the white line did the hopscotch and i was like flying for some seconds and then something pulled me back again. Something was pulling me back.I was going forward but back again. Can someone please explain this to me? Thank you!

Snakes are very important symbols in a dream - they often represent transformation because they shed their skin. But they're also frightening and very low animal forms. So they represent the deepest reptilian instincts. Think about the snake from the Garden of Eden if you're familiar with the Bible - if not, every religion and many myths feature snakes usually as the same kind of frightening but transformative symbols. It was because of the snake that Adam and Eve transformed into more evolved intelligent form and attained the knowledge of good and evil, making them in that sense like God. And that's a good metaphor for what they represent in dreams. It's some deep fear of yours that you need to confront and learn from. If you do you'll transform into a more evolved form of yourself - you'll gain wisdom and maturity that your fear is currently holding you back from. Think about any fears you might have - things you might be avoiding. Think about not avoiding them anymore but facing the fear and walking directly into it as the dream seems to want you to (magnetism).

In fact a dragon is a snake in its most powerful mythological form, and if the hero faces the dragon (faces his deepest fears) and defeats it he gets the gold or rescues the damsel, right? This is because when you face your own fears you win wisdom or valuable self-knowledge. In fact what's keeping the wisdom from you is the fear itself - that is the point behind all these stories. I would recommend some active imagination - meditate for while or just sit quietly with your eyes closed - you could do this in bed if you're not too tired to concentrate, and visualize this dream with the snake. Imagine yourself back in it, only this time don't resist the magnetism. Go right toward the snake. You might talk to it - ask it what it wants you to do or what fear it represents. It just might tell you. Or this might cause you to have the dream again and see what happens if you don't resist.

It's a way of working out the issues brought up by the dream and dealing with them. Be sure to also think about what your fears are that might be holding you back in life and consider how to face them. Probably fears that have caused problems for you in the past. The something pulling you back represents the fact that you aren't making progress in life - because of the fear represented by the snake. Spend some time thinking about the dreams - maybe write about them and try to think of any associations they bring to mind - anything form your past that they might remind you of that could be a clue.
