I also remember one where there were loads of mini tornadoes cropping about the place ( like really small ones the size of people) |

Ive had dreams where my neighborhood is engulfed in mile-high pillars of white/yellow fire. I think, generally speaking, apocalyptic dreams shock us so much, is because there is no escape from an armageddon situation. They somewhat represent an inescapable situation |

Our dreams are firsthand creations, rather than residues of waking life. We have the capacity for infinite creativity.
I have had dreams about a zombie outbreak taking place in the World, ending all human societies, altough not destroying Earth itself. |

iv had 2 recently (last 2 weeks) that i remember. But i know i have had them many more times earlier, but i cant really remember these, so il stick to the last 2. |

I think you have being watching to much war of the worlds and and deep impact but apart from that, that really is freaky. |

I've had recurring dreams about giant worms Dune-style eating cities. |

I had dream where I was in my room reading a comic. It's a nice day outside and the sun is shining through my window. My mom is healthy and driving. Everything is going fine and then something happens that makes me go to my window and look out. There's a blinding whit light engulfing everything in existense, and it gets closer. I run to the other side of my room, and all I see is white and me being disintigrated. Messed up. It was like I was seeing an alternate reality me dying. |
|
To be continued . . . . .
I've had a non-lucid dream of the type. Wasn't exactly apocalyptic but involved demons breaking loose and eating people. And for some reason I had a little sister, but i don't. It's kinda long so I'll email it if anyone wants to hear it. And I had another weird dream last night... |

i had a nightmare once about the machines coming out of the ground and killing everyone and the whole world would end. but i blame it on the film war of the worlds as i think i had watched the film earlier that day. lol |

Yeah, I've had those more now than in the past [since Ijoined DV I've noticed that the number's gone up some, but that's a coincidence]. But for some reason, I'm always calm throughout them and rarely am I afraid [only once can I recall I was afraid] but when I wake up feeling fine... Only dreams with zombies trying to 'convert' me scare me or something that dark |

Awesome this thread is still going! It's crazy how many people have apocalyptic dreams - some of the dreams people have posted here scare the bejesus out of me! |
|
I have had multiple dreams that the world is ending and/or dreams of impending doom. |

I had one sometime ago. |

You know nothing of yourself.
I've had a couple of dreams, one fairly recently, where the moon swelled and slowly fell from the sky to the earth. It became translucent the closer it got. The last dream was non-lucid but so vivid and terrifying. I was outside in the dar during winter. When I saw the moon approaching I fell to my knees in the snow in terror. |

Very, very rarely. But when I do, I love them. |

"Life is like walking backwards into a dark tunnel..."
I also have apocalyptic dreams (About twice a month). When I am in them, I usually just want to get away from it all. But when I wake up, I think it is the best experience ever :p . That probably because I know I'm safe once I'm awake. |

Yeah, I had one 6 months ago. I don't remember how it began, but I found myself in my school, but it had been reduced to ruins. There were old school descs and brick stones scattered everywhere, and all the trees were grey and had lost their leaves. A lot of people from different grades in my school sat together in a room where one wall was missing. If you looked out where the wall had been you could see a grey, misty landscape, it looked like a battlefield from WWI. |

Although I haven't had a dream about it a month ago I watched a BBC Horizons documentry called 'the end'. It had 5 different scenarios about how the world would end. I have to admit after watching it I was a bit sad and disturbed... anyway the 5 ways were: |

Starting from scratch
had a Nuke dream a year or so ago. Waaaay too real. The explosion was so vivid, and I was with a group of spectators. We saw the ion cloud pass over us in the atmosphere, then our faces began to burn like we had been in the sun for too long. Eyes itched. We were miles away from the blast - it was on the horizon - but the explosion stretched out into the atmosphere in a blue-green bulb, miles across. The energy pulse rippled over our heads. We all knew we had been radiated badly. nightmarish, but still very rewarding in some way. Maybe just waking up and realizing that it didn't happen. |

We who are about to dream, salute you!
Its surprising to see so many nuclear dreams. Oddly ive never had one despite having many apocalyptic dreams. Twice they involved fire engulfing the sky and coming towards myself and many other people trying to flee. |
|
I want to have zombie dreams again |
