Is It Normal For Me To Remember Dreams From Long Ago?

Ever since I found this website, an entire three days ago, I have started remembering old dreams I had that I just thought were really cool but could almost be classified as LDs.

Like my jump off a building and land creating a crater neo style dream.

Or when I ran really, really fast.

      Or when I used telekinesis.

Or when I talked to dead people in my dreams... (still can't understand what they said (need to work on that one)).

But I forgot all about these dreams up until now, and now I wakeup and write in my dream journal (just a notepad by my bed until i get my laptop on friday), and forget about them. Now that I've started constantly thinking about this dreaming experience I find myself remembering dreams from LONG ago.

My short term memory for dreams that I had earlier in the day really is not good. I write down what I dreamed and then later in the day looked at what I wrote and had what can be described as a "what the hell" moment. I can't exactly remember what I had dreamed about, and when I read what I wrote I didn't believe it at first, then I was like "no, I wrote this" (noticeable due to my fast scrawls).

All of that is normal. The dreams when you were younger that you are remembering simply had a greater impact on you and you found them interesting. Since you're now putting forth effort to recall your dreams, you're probably just out of practice which makes it more difficult to recall them. If you keep at it and write down what you can, your recall will increase and it will become easier in time

As far as looking back and seeing what you've dreamed, since you've just woke, you're not quite 100% cognizant and more apt to accept what you've just dreamed as less than unusual. It's interesting when I try to explain a dream to someone else and it comes out all weird, but it makes perfect sense to me! It's just a matter of perception.

That does make sense, I have had some very weird dreams, weird even for me to be dreaming them. Now, everyday I am able to remember at least one dream I had the previous night, sometimes two dreams. I am writing them down still
