Question "Dream Pegs - A notebook for multiple realities"

I just found these chapters in the "Awake In Dreamland" section at the preview of Daniel Love's new book to be released today:
      • Dream Pegs - A notebook for multiple realities
      • The dream peg system
      • Building your own peg system
      • How to use pegs
      • The test
      • Expanding the peg system
      • How to use pegs within dreams

As a begginer LDer (I cannot have regular LDs yet) I am wondering: What is he talking about? Is that a new technique?
Please, don't get me wrong: I'm not asking someone who read the book to tell me what I want to know so that I don't have to buy it (I think no one has it yet, anyways)
"Dream pegs" or "notebooks for multiple realities" is something I've never heard about and I'm just guessing in anticipation!
Or maybe it's nothing new and it's me being foolish.

I've been waiting in anticipation for this book too!
I think this and a few of the other things I've previewed from the book on amazon are probably new techniques. I read his interview on world-of-lucid-dreaming (An Interview with Daniel Love) and liked what I read.

I bought my copy (it's available now btw Are You Dreaming?: Exploring Lucid Dreams: A Comprehensive Guide: Daniel Love: 9780957497702: Amazon.com: Books) and apparently it should arrive by friday, so unless someone else beats me to it i'll try and answer this with more information (and obviously wont be disrespectful to the author and give away too much) when it arrives or write a review.

      Yay! good start to 2013

I have also read that really good interview, but about getting the book I have a problem, right now I live in a remote area where it is too difficult to get anything delivered. I believe an ebook version might be released in time, so meanwhile any hint you could give will satisfy some of my big curiosity.

When I read about that notebook to take between worlds, the only thing that came to my mind is adapting memorization techniques to LDing, but I don't have enough experience in LDing to try it myself or know if that's at all possible. I've only had a few random LD in the last few years, but still cannot induce them.

I should stick to the basic stuff right now, but I have an inquisitive mind. My life is like too much theory, not enough practice.

      Thank you LucidMoon!

      I'll chime in here.
Got me a copy of Are you dreaming, not read it all thru yet as its a big book so I'm about 1/4 in but so far it seems very good.
I've checked the chapter you were talking about seems to be a clever memory technique like you guessed dreambh, not had a chance to test it yet but goes into a lot of depth in the book so I'll try it out when I read that chapter properly. May write a review myself soon too LucidMoon but still got to read it all first.

EDIT: I didn't answer your original question but no the peg thing isnt something I've seen before either, looks completely new.

      I knew it!
Too bad that I'm in an early stage of learning LDing and cannot try this!
      Thank you Mr Sandman

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

      Thank you Bobblehat!
That is exactly what I was thinking about, the problem for me is I had no idea that it was called "mnemonic peg system" in English until now! (English is my third language)

Other than that the rest of the book is turning out really well with loads of new ideas, totally glad I bought it. Gets my A+++
