      BAD dryspell.

My last DILD was over three weeks ago. Since then, I've been waiting for my next lucid and am becoming very frustrated. And I can't WILD either, which is even worse.

I'm not pulling my hair out over it, but the lack of LDs lately is a bit annoying.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I know how you feel. I've found that if you try not to think about it for a day or two, it usually comes back. Like, try to quit reality checks for a day or two and see what happens. When I try this, I tend to get back on track. Being frustrated is the worst because then that toys with your motivation.

You know that it will eventually let up, so there's no point in me telling you that. You could try a video or something more than you usually do to become lucid or just stop completely for a day or two. To be honest the only way I ever get out of dry spells is by waiting them out. In the meantime I always try my best to simply enjoy my dreams even if I can barely remember them.

      I know what thats like.
A dryspell of a month made me stop trying to LD. Not just until a 2 weeks ago (since Oct/Nov) did I get back into trying.

Be generally more observant of your surroundings in waking life. Look around you more often as you're going through your day. This is more of a natural reality check. Getting out of a foggy-minded state during waking life can greatly improve your chances for lucidity while asleep.
