Hi folks !
Probably a good exercise to keep in the back of your mind is to ask random questions during the day (specially regarding your current activity) and heck if you can give an answer and check for the plausibility of the answer. i think of it as form of reality checking, with the advantage of being maybe more creative and dynamic than using the same reality check, specially the physically based ones. It may seem a little bit weird, perhaps, but it is fun and easy

Examples:
- why am i brushing my teeth ? - Answer: i just ate, i nedd to keep bacteria away. ( ok the question and answer make sense)
- Why am i going to the supermarket ? - i need to buy tomatoes, as i wil be making salad for tonight's dinner ( easy and makes sense)
- why am i going to make salad for tonight's dinner ? - i always use to eat salad, and it is healthy ( easy and make sense)
- why my walls are white ? - walls are white to keep light and be able to spot bugs and stuff in it ( not so easy but make sense)
- why do i have to make my bed and why do i have to sleep ? - i need to sleep in comfort and sleep is necessary for every animal

Another exercise is to talk to yourself for bouts of time. It may seem a mindless exercise, but if "you" are intentionally doing it, it is mindful.
If you let your thoughts play out spontaneously that's not mindful and it is not "you" who are thinking
So, for instance, " RIght now i am going to supermarket, i will buy tomatoes --- a beautiful car passes by and i start to forget my thinking --- i will have to go through this direction because there is where tomatoes are ----now i remember i have to pick bread too----but i keep remembering to think to myself and now that i have picked tomatoes i will head for bread, then maybe i pick some milk...."

Just a weekend's bunch of thoughts to add variety to your critical thinking exercises
