      Nothing happens when attempting WILD

For about a 2 months I have been trying to LD, throughout this process I have been using mantras, RCs throughout the day, and MILD. Nothing works. I have only had 1 LD (through DILD) and it was 3 weeks ago. Since then I have had no luck on WILD. Every time I fail I search and search and find the same things

"You're thinking too hard" - Nope
"Your too awake " - Nope
"WILD is not for you" - I have tried every other method.

      Simply:
      1. Sleep, wake up after 6h
      2. Perform a WBTB
      3. I lay (perfectly relaxed) in my bed whilst on my back
      4. I try counting, visualisation, etc.
      5. I don't even get the rollover signal
      6. No Hypnotic Imagery
      7. Wake up and try MILD whilst falling asleep.
      8. Wake up and record dreams
For 2 months, every day, I have tried this. With no success

Edit: For some reason it posted with 1 tag and will not let me edit the tag 😔

Have you tried setting up different wake up times?
In order for WILD to work, you have to time your REM cycles so that when you go to bed and attempt it, you are about to enter REM or already technically in it, if you aren't in REM the best you're gonna get are NREM dreams which kinda acts as dreamlets as best.

Well something is happening because there are only three possibilities with WILD.

      1. You enter the dream.
      2. You lose focus and fall asleep unconsciously.
      3. You are focusing to hard and can't fall asleep at all.

So it sounds like you are failing to enter the dream because your focus is not good enough to stay aware. Practice All Day Awareness, in which you focus and become mindful in areas of your daily life so that you can have a more refined skill at staying focused when you attempt the WILD. I would also experiment with different times for WBTB.

It never works for me either. I'm going to try it when I wake up between 1 and 3 am. I've been not having any luci in getting lucids.

What's your sleeping routine? Before you go to bed at night, that is.
What do you do? Do you have a ritual that you do?
I found my success rates with LD increase when I prime my brain and self before bed, that is, no electronics, just calming the mind and being still. I practise mind relaxation. This helps me to WILD, later on after 5-6 hours.

What reality checks do you perform? When do you perform them? Its important to do them all throughout the day, randomly.

What do you do on your WBTB? Try not to get too awake but focus on dreaming, maybe read a dream journal or come onto dream views.

WILD has been one of the hardest ways to LD for me, and the one time I did have one it was an accident. I have had the most luck with the DILD method. It also took me a few months to actually start having consistent lucid dreams. It seems like some people have a lot harder time with it than others.

      Good luck!
