weird thoughts

for the last few days I've noticed something. I'll be laying in bed, thinking about various things, (what I had done that day, things I'll do tomorrow, problems, worries....etc) when my thoughts will go....off. I'll all of the sudden notice I was thinking WEIRD stuff. It's like my brain was thinking for me. like maybe....I was in a very light sleep? I dunno.

What you describe here sounds to me like
Scientifically this is known as REM your mind is going crazy and you are not quite asleep but trying to get to what your brain considers sleep. Those half hour naps can be awesome when you have the dream control. I can come home at 3:00pm and pass out for an hour and basically do what i want practice new recipes from food network. Do some tae kwon do or even just fly around for what seems like an hour. Sometimes i just lay there fully lucid for hours and fish. Ive never cought one but i always get bites.

What you will dream is up to your imagination. From what i see there is no boundries

Note REM has nothing to do with attaining lucidity.. It can happen in a crazy non lucid dream or in a vivid lucid adventure.
I would think "you" of all people would be aware of this. This is sinning and bad things going on in your mind girl. Like me and my wild nightmare. Try praying at those moments, until you drop directly into lucid dreaming you might find yourself floating in clouds almost ready to reach climax with jesus at your side. May sound unappropriate or dirty but thats your mind wandering not mine.

Think Positive and maybe find something to calm you on those lonely nights.

I don't know about all that sinning nonsense and dreaming (after all, most of the old testament is dreams), but what you're experiencing are called hypnagonic visions.

It's like your mind wanders over topics by itself undirected by you and eventually you'll start imaging like in a dream and see these topics. It's a super good sign for lots of dreaming. They usually wake me up a few times before I get totally asleep because I notice them and think I'm dreaming and stop the randomness of it, which is how my dreams get started.

I wish I could just watch it and hold my lucidity until I get all the way in the dream. That would be great.

sounds like you have had too much coffee. I never drink that poisen in my opinion its worse than an Arrogant basterd ale. Or even tequila.

Hypnogic images. that is correct. try to relax when you are in this state and do not try to alter any visions or thoughts you have. Just let it flow. with pratice you can fall into lucidity right from this state.
