So far, no lucid dream, but given where I started (no ability of dream recall except by accident maybe once per year) thirteen dream recalls in just under one month, and TWO just last night alone has given me significant encouragement that I'll eventually reach my goal. To the extent the foregoing may convince even one other newbie not to give up, allow me to bear witness to just how far you can come in just thirty days, even at my age (60). If >>I<< can make that kind of progress, then anyone can.
The only thing I bring to the table is an overwhelming desire to succeed at experiencing regular lucid dreams, and a willingness to employ the techniques pioneered by others that have documented as successful. If you are as new to this endeavor as I am, I can't emphasize enough how invaluable the collective knowledge and experience of this site is to your eventual success. Read, read, read. Also, although I've only gotten 70 or so pages into Stephen LaBerge's book "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" there is no doubt in my mind that the thoughts, theories, and techniques set out so cogently in that text were a major contributor to me being able to recall two discrete dreams last night! Wow...I can't tell you how astonished I was by that. Get it. Read it.
I'm looking forward to collecting enough dream journal entries that I'll be able to identify dream signs to help coax me into lucidity. 2014 is my year for this attainment!
