Question People says it's awesome, but I need proof.

      Hi!

I found out about Lucid dreaming for about 5 days ago now, and I have been doing at least 5-6 RCs every day. (Looking at my hands, and breathing while shutting my mouth and nose.), but I've not had anything near what I'd call a Lucid dream, as I can only barely remember 1 dream every day, so I've come to the conclusion to ask for advice!

I would like to have a lucid dream. Soon.
The reason I would like to have one, is because I want to know if it is worth using a lot of time practicing, so, can anyone tell me how I possibly could get to experience one? soon? like, 2-3 days from now.

      Thanks ^^

      Hi,

Answering that question is a bit tough since it's very personal stuff

The fact whether your lucid dreams are amazing or not depends on you
Lucid Dreams can be real life alike, yet with one extra thingy You can do anything you want (There is only one rule in lucid dreams. You have to wake up.

They are way too awesome to describe them imo
My favorite part about them are Dream Characters
These guys & girls are way too awesome
They can be funny, scary and amazing
You can talk with them, they can communicate eachother and they can even outsmart us, dreamers

      Example:
      - Today i had non-lucid dream in which i was wandering around my house. There was this girl who seemed to be my sister (Thought i don't have sister in real). She told me that she would like to meet Slenderman and i was confused. Few seconds later i looked at window that was behind her or whatever was it and saw a Slenderman. I tried to stay calm yet i started to stutter. Sister out of curosity why i'm stuttering tried to turn back and i've got freaked out hard that she might see slenderman. So i decided to try to grab her and run. But before doing so i woke up due to being scared as heck while heavy breathing aswell .

It was quite scary experience yet kinda fun.

Dream Characters lucid or not are amazing
      I just love them

And for your attempts on lucid dreaming
      I belive 5 - 6 RCs a day might be not enough
Chance that they will induce lucidity is low
      Increasing frequency might help
I would suggest doing one every 15 minutes

Aswell reading Intro Class might help you with your attempts
Those guys surely covered everything in there:

you could try to WILD, if you are really set on having one I am sure it will work out, but will take loads of time for the time being.

Also yes it is awesome. Can you imagine free-falling from everest? Eating whatever you want? Having sex with however you want? Visiting another planet? Transform onto a different specie? Go into your favorite serie/book/movie? Why not live it instead?

Either way, I'm not of the opinion that LDing takes a whole lot of time, the hardest part is the start but once you know how to become lucid then it becomes more of a second-nature/life thingy.

Unfortunately it's like trying to convince a blind person that seeing is worthwhile. How do you explain it? Certainly some of my most amazing experiences and memories are from my LDs. The one downer is that they are all just me, and I cannot share them with anyone other than through inadequate words, but other LD'ers at least understand and know what it is like.

Well, think of it like this:

lucid dreams can be just as vivid as waking life, with all your senses very much active.
You can see far into the distance, you can hear sounds, you can eat dream food and feel the tastes, and you can feel just as "alive" as you feel right now.
In fact, lucid dreams can be so realistic that you might actually find yourself getting dragged down by gravity when you try to fly, just because you are so used to gravity and expect it to be there in dreams as well.

Think about this for a moment - a vivid lucid dream feels exactly as "real" as waking life itself, and you are always aware that you are actually dreaming.
You have the right to do absolutely anything you want without any consequences, you can grab an attractive dream character and make out with her/him, you can steal someone's car just for kicks, you can jump into the air and fly, and view the surroundings below you.

One way to think of lucid dreams is that it's like being awake, but feeling very fascinated by every single thing you see.
Even a house is fascinating, because in dreams you have no idea what you might find inside them.
This excitement lasts through the entire dream, and you will most likely wake up feeling fantastic and empowered.

In waking life we are very used to almost everything we see, so we usually have this mindset "oh, cool, a house and a couple trees, whatever", and this makes us pay very little attention to things in general.
But try to pretend for a moment that you are in a dream right now, and imagine what that would be like if it were a dream.
      Pretty cool imagination, huh?

If you don't lucid dream you'll sleep through a quarter of your life.

There is, as yet, no sure-fire way to attain lucidity within two-three days. It may certainly happen, but nothing can guarantee, that it will.

But, in order to maximise the probability that it will happen, try to make sure that you:
      • get enough sleep at night (at least 8 hours, but preferably more)
      • get high quality sleep during the first 5 hours (no disturbances due to high bedroom temperature, external noises, heavy meals eaten shortly before bedtime requiring digestion, etc.)
      • get up after about 5 hours for a little while (e.g. empty your bladder), then go back to bed again
      • have plenty of physical and - especially - mental energy available (meaning don't be exhausted, when you go to bed)
      • immerse yourself in lucid dreaming thoughts during the day
      • try for the life of you to remember your dreams in the morning - and WRITE THEM DOWN!

There are further things which could be added (maybe someone else will chip in), but being faithful to the ones already mentioned here will definitely increase the probability, that you will experience a lucid dream or two.

      And then you'll be hooked!

Incidentally, Welcome to DreamViews. ... and "Mojn!"

So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?
