      Hi,

You shouldn't aim for sleep paralysis
      It is actually medical condition.
The thing you actually talk about is described as 'Rem Atonia' and mistakishly called Sleep Paralysis.

Now i'il go with the basics i guess:
      - You should perform WILD Attempts with WBTB (Aka after 5 - 7 hours of sleep?).
The longer we sleep the longer is the rem phase (Rem Phase is the phase of dream in which most of dreams happens) and the shorter is nrem phase (The dreamless phase of body regeneration?). That's why with WBTB it is easier to WILD aswell as the dream's quality and lenght is better too.
      - Aim for falling asleep (The point of WILD is to fall asleep, if you won't fall asleep then you won't be able to dream and therefore no lucid dreams too)
      - Retain Consciousness (In WILD there is probably one difference between regular sleeping, we are conscious to certain degree till we reach rem phase and eventually transition into a lucid dream)

      That's for the basics.
I suggest you reading up this stuff:

Or maybe just signing up for Sageous' DVA WILD Class

There is one thingy that you should be prepared for aswell: The Sensations during WILD
      http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...into-wild.html
You shouldn't look for them, wait for them or try to find them
It will disrupt and eventually harm your attempt.
The only thing you should do is perform the technique to keep your consciousness up or just mainly the technique of wild you've choosen to play with

Another advice is kinda linked to recent one aka looking out for sensations
I find myself WILDing easier when i don't care about my body aka don't sense it or don't even feel it because i forgot about it and i just do the technique n' such stuff
The more you are attached to real body sensations the harder it will be for you to wild?
I think it is linked to having yourself focused on your inner world than real one (Aka on imagination or your thoughts, so that you will eventually during rem atonia forgot n' stop sensing your real body and brain will put you into dream one? It can be done without that, yet it makes stuff way easier i guess ?

And for personal technique part, here it is:
I use technique made by acillisand it's called EILDS
      http://www.dreamviews.com/attaining-...then-wild.html
The technique mainly bases on putting both of eyes in specific direction and keeping them all the time there and when you lose consciousness your eyes will re-centralize therefore making you consciousness again, and when that happens you move eyes back into choosen direction. Repeat that till you reach Rem Atonia or eventual transition into the dream. I suggest switching the direction each day, just a extra safety to make sure your body wont get used to falling asleep with eyes in corner of left or right side. Example: Tommorow right side and today left side

At best i'd suggest you reading this thread up, if your interesed in EILDS:

Hopefully my slice of knowledge will help you somehow in future attempts
      - Cheers
      I'm back! Again? Uhhh..
