      REM whilst awake?

Hi everyone, my apologies if this is a stupid question!

Basically last night I was lying in bed at my usual time of 11pm.
I was practicing some self awareness and as I relaxed my eyes they began to jolt back and forth and kept spazzing all over the place!
This isn't something I've noticed before, though it may not be the first time.

Any idea of what this is?
Could it be REM? Though I know it takes a few hours of sleep to get into that stage

      Many thanks!
      When you are dreaming,
      I am wide awake.
      Believe when you see me,
in the mind's eye I wait
      while you are sleeping.

I have had this happen when trying to WILD, I think its possible that you almost WILDed and is possibly in fact REM. I WILD sometimes as I am going to sleep.
Good thing is you were aware of it.

How long was you relaxing for? was you tired?

I was relaxing for literally like 3 minuets,
I work long days so I'm normally always tiered and can easily fall asleep by 11-11:30pm

I'm going try a fild tonight and see if I can jump staight in, might aswell give it a go!

Nice, your tiredness probably helped then.

Good luck, hopefully you will see results.

Idk but one time I was camping and I woke up and I saw an extremely vivid amazingly beautiful perfectly clear vision of the stars. But then I realized I was in a tent... and then I realized that they were hallucinations. No one believed me when I told them, they thought I made it up lol.
