      Hard to move?

I mentioned this issue in one my my last few threads, but I need advice once again because its sort of changed.

So, the past few days I have been very successful with lucid dreaming, I had 1 yesterday and another last night. My problem is, every time in my more recent lucid dreams when I become conscious, I cant seem to move. I'm always being "held back" by something. In the dream I had yesterday I realized I was dreaming while I was laying down on my couch, with my arm elevated on the back of the couch. I tried to pull my hand down to do the nose plug reality check, but I couldn't move my arm. This is very constraining, 'physically' and mentally. Somehow I was able to think "ok, my arm is in water". I said that to myself repeatedly and was able to slowly move my arm down as if it was in water. When I finally got up from the couch, I felt the force trying to push me down. The worst part about this is, it also seems to try to keep my eyes closed which scares me because I don't want to wake up. It also makes vision pretty blurry. Because of this, the majority of my recent lucids I haven't been able to move much, see well, keep a steady mindset, or even keep my balance (it makes me stagger around a bit).

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get over the 'force' that's keeping me down?

      All answers are appreciated!

      Hi,

I could suggest you perhaps a Technique that has possiblity to solve your problem:
      Stage A - Mental Prep...
      1. Choose any phrase you want, it could be maybe 'Re-synchronizing' or literally anything not too long...
      2. After you've choosen phrase acknowledge that this phrase will strenghten up your bound with dream and in result free you from hardness of moving in lucid dream and let you enjoy smooth movement.
      - When acknowledging above stuff put focus into it's meaning and have full confidence that it will work and leave no doubts about it.
      * You can go for Stage B from now on or repeat step 2. few times your practice for maximal effects maybe? *
      Stage B - Dream World
      1. Become Lucid With Choosen Techinique
      2. Enjoy Lucidity
      3. Whenever you encounter 'subjected problem' say out phrase you've choosen while acknowledging it's special meaning to you and knowing that it will remove that stupid glitch out of dream ?
      4. Success perhaps?

      Good schema at it's finest.

Verbal commands work exceptionally well for some reason. I would follow this advice not just for this problem, but for a lot of other problems that may appear in dreams. Such as clarity, dream control, scenery, summoning, etc.

Hi - I hadn't seen your reply back when you originally posted it (it was years ago I know, lol). I am, believe it or not, STILL having this problem and it has caused me to practice Lucid Dreaming much less which I am upset about. I am trying to get back into it now so I must again try to tackle this issue. I will take your advice and see what happens, thanks!
