      Questions To Ask In Dreams

Background, I have yet to have a lucid dream. I do recall dreams, been in dreams where I talked about Lucid Dreaming and didn't realize I was in the dream. I have an idea of what would I be doing on my first lucid dream. My idea is simple, I just want to be asking questions, sight see and be with my spirit guide.

There an experiment I like to start. Where we can explore ideas of questions we can ask within the dream, along with the given answer. You can ask out loud, to a dream character or in a text to a random number just to name a few. You can get creative and find which way works best for you. Or maybe asking different ways to find out if it is the same answer, or ask another night to find if there any difference in answer. How about if you asked the same dream character. Did they remember you asked them the same question the night before? I'll like people to post the questions that they find to be meaningful, creative or spiritual along with the answer given, if any. I'm sure answers will be different from people to people, but maybe someone might find a question that they been wanting to ask and someone posted with an answer or didn't know they wanted to ask and they can ask themselves. We can then use them as motivation or just a goal to keep us entertained with Lucid Dreaming.

This is just a start. If I'm not making sense just post saying so. I'll do my best to better explain myself.
For frequent Lucid Dreamers, would you ask these questions and post? Thanks in advance.
1.What can I do to achieve better lucidity(to become lucid in my dreams)?
      2.Why do I dream?
3.What is the answer I been waiting for?
4.Can you tell me how is my health or better yet show me?
5.Anything I can do to regrow the hair I lost?

      2.Why do I dream?
I asked a dream character a similar question before but they ran away from me. xD
4.Can you tell me how is my health or better yet show me?
This they can probably show you. I once asked a dc lady if she wanted to tell me something important and she showed me into a place where she talked about my physical well being and how a certain person was affecting it negatively. The person was pretty annoying.

I want to ask a dream guide of mine if he can teach me anything in the dream. I use to want to ask them many simple questions but they weren't very cooperative so it was kind of a waste of time for me. ^^"

How come you don't know your true name? Or what do you mean, I dont quite understand.
I think BlairBros meant it to be like a funny question to ask a dc. Or maybe he asked that to see if they would give him a name that fit the kind of person he is. : 3

Thank you for the respond to my questions.

I'm just big on wondering and I have read tons on Lucid Dreaming. Since there is everything possible you can do in the dream, there must be a way to bypass the uncooperative dream characters. Maybe use a different mean to get answers. I think I will use a computer and ask Google/Youtube, =D something like that.
Of course I'm talking about in the dream where I will try this. Or have myself appear, my clone and be able to talk to myself to get straight answers.
There are different ways of asking and I'm wondering with a different approach what can happen? the same result? or different answers that may have you question which method is saying the truth?

Your welcome.I tried a computer messenger in a dream before to communicate with a dc too. You should definitely try the google thing or asking yourself a question in a dream. I would like to know how it turns out. I believe that different methods will give different results. I believe this is true because when you try using a phone or internet messenger no one might respond or you might connect to someone you didn't want to in the first place.(Like an annoying DC that just ends up wasting your time) Its probably best to just say the question out loud so maybe your mind can give you a quick answer to the question without any obstacles in the way. However, when i want to really focus on the person I want to appear in the dream so i can ask a question I use the dream phone. > w < Just my personal preference for direct connection.

Close to Dawneye's second guess I wanted to see if my subconcious thought I have a true secret name or something similar.

That interesting BlairBro, if you do get to ask I hope you will be able to post as I would like to hear what has been said to you.

Would it be odd if the dream were to give a "nickname" from an old friend that only a few have said to you. Or perhaps the name of your unborn child. Also, the name of someone who you will be meeting in the near future.

DawnEye11 when you say use a dream phone, what exactly are you saying?

Is it the cell phone you always have in your pocket? A near by pay phone? Or do you just find a dream phone? Does it look different from the regular cell, pay phones here? The dream phone, if it has contacts are you able to read them? Or are they always changing? And if you can read them who are in your contact? Is your spirit guide in your contacts? Do you check to see if you made a call before or got a call? Have you called a missed phone call?

Hey guys, last night I went to bed as usually, but I laid down with headphones listening to a Alpha Wave track off Youtube. I was doing my best to just Meditate. Once my breathing became naturally low and steady. I had a sudden rush go through my body. Going through my entire body. Almost of a numb feeling? I didn't move I just let it be, but what wanted to move the most were my eyes. My eyes wanted to just open and after a little bit I did. I didn't feel one bit of tiredness, sleepy, lazy. I just went to watch a bit of Waking Life. I'm looking forward to doing this again. Hopefully I can say more if I happen to experience it again.

Any idea what it might have been?

If you want something interesting, ask the dream, "Who am I?"

      Goals:
-Become Lucid in every dream every night
      -Perfect the time dilation watch
-Continue to have a dream plan for most of my lucid dreams

The dream phone is a phone in the dream. So it can be any phone. A cell phone, pay phone, home phone, etc. I mostly use a a regular phone i find in the dream. Nope. I don't pay attention to contacts when i use the phone or cell phone. I usually think of the person's name after pressing random numbers than i use my mind to focus on the person to get them on the other line. You don't have to press buttons though, you can just think of the person while holding the phone to your ear or imagine its on speaker phone.: 3 I have looked at mine and my dream guide's contacts before on his phone but don't remember what it said. You can read stuff on the phone but sometimes the screen and words end up changing too quick so i don't really like looking at the phone screen. I don't check to see if i made a call or got a call but it would probably be interesting if i tried to hear a voice mail in a dream. Also,I don't really remember getting a missed phone call where the person hangs up immediately. I just know there are times when no one answers.^^"

I don't know what that might have been but if you feel uncomfortable the best thing to do is get in a comfortable position.

I don't believe I could have been in a more comfortable position. The position was great and there was no need to move. The only thing that did need some movement were my eyes. They felt like they needed to open and I did do that. I opened my eyes and that when I was trying to make sense of just what had happened. My body felt like if it was traveling? almost like it was rising? like I just got some super powers? =D. My inner voice was calm and it was so pleasant.

When I first started to lucid dream I also thought of it as a way to get answers about stuff I needed. Problem was that the majority of the time I wasn't able to do so. For me at least, it seems like I was only able to succeed at a time when I was more familiar with lucidity. Funny thing is that by that time, I had already found the best way for me to lucid dream and the questions I had already got themselves answered along the way. I guess what I am trying to say is that just letting the dream do its thing with a guided intent I guess, can get you the answers you want and at the same time you'll explore stuff you never thought you would.

At one point though, at a later time when I was familiar I was really troubled by the question of "whether everything is predetermined or not" so once I asked that I was told that "yes it was, but not in the way I imagined". It wasn't a complete answer but it still was enough to put that feeling at ease. Only learned more about it later...

I also use a dream phone all the time! It's actually my most effective way of summoning someone. I just pull my hand out and expect there to be a phone and there is and because I don't have any numbers I just pretend it's a voice activated so I just say "call *insert name*" and put the phone to my ear where they usually answer and I ask them where they are and almost always they appear and they do so whilst talking on the phone too. So I suppose it should be an effective way to ask someone questions. All the other methods mentioned should be just as good too. It does seem like it would be interesting to repeat questions to see different responses. hmm.

      Great Info!

You saying to let the dream be the dream and not change landscape, building anything at all. To ride the dream as lucid as can be. To learn and experience, but don't question as the story will unfold the desires you have.

I was really troubled by the question of "whether everything is predetermined or not" so once I asked that I was told that "yes it was, but not in the way I imagined". It wasn't a complete answer but it still was enough to put that feeling at ease. Only learned more about it later...

What was it that you learnt about later? And how did you feel after being at ease in your waking life?

It does seem like it would be interesting to repeat questions to see different responses. hmm.

Yes it would. I also wonder if they would remember the same question? If they do, would you start to consider that maybe they have their own life in "Dreamland". Or do they only exist when you are asleep? or vice versa.

Ohhh, okay. Maybe you were asleep/half asleep the time you were rising than.

Well yes, more or less. What I mean is that the development is usually gradual, so a lot of the time at the beginning I wanted to do far more than I was capable of. Not saying you shouldn't try to change things for example, but that it usually comes in steps. There seems to be some sort of awareness behind the dream that knows when you are ready or not. Everything seems to come at the right time. So it doesn't really matter anyway, since trying too hard may be just what you need in order to learn something.

Later I learned more about time. Had various pre-cognitive experiences and some drug induced experiences with cannabis and morning glory seeds. Also read some books that were sort of a confirmation. The book trilogy "conversations with God" were absolutely fascinating to me and may serve whoever reads this if they are interested.

Afterwards in waking life I just felt reassured that no matter what I do, I know it will be okay.

It is interesting to wonder whether there is a continuous life in "dreamland". I can see reasons for both there being and not being but I don't know.

Afterwards in waking life I just felt reassured that no matter what I do, I know it will be okay.

I had experience with Magic Mushrooms. After the lost of time, thoughts of wonders, emotions that were the strongest and best I have ever felt. The calming down, in the moments where weird circus music is playing in my head. Images of weird objects that I don't remember ever seeing circling along with the music. I open my eyes and in this moment I'm over my head. Sadden with such joy, tears that make feel cheerful. It was at this moment where I uncover my head from under the sheets and to put it simply I know everything is going to be okay, everything will always be okay. FYI, I like to use Magic Mushrooms to give me insights of where I am in life, to free myself in a way that feels spiritual(I only do them twice a year).

It is interesting to wonder whether there is a continuous life in "dreamland". I can see reasons for both there being and not being but I don't know.

What will you say your reasons for there being and not being? Just talk, it doesn't have to be something you understand how to explain. It might be something that needs more than one head to grasp the idea.

That sounds like an amazing experience. I have yet to try Magic Mushrooms.

okay let's see. I don't particularly think that all dreams are happening inside our heads. I think the dreamworld is what some call the Akhashic records. So I think we can have access to past and future events which are all happening NOW. Also, there are potentially other dimensions where other sentient beings exist, which should potentially mean that they are living through it. Our waking life could also be just another layer of dream...

There also seems to be a world of our own too, with our memories, imaginations, etc. Which we usually experience when dreaming as ourselves. So we can't be sure if it is still running since we are not there to experience except when dreaming. Otherwise it would suggest that another part of ourselves are living through it simultaneously on automatic maybe, or not. So I don't know =/ maybe both simultaneously? It is and isn't still going on.

So I think we can have access to past and future events which are all happening NOW.

NOW is what is happening past/future and now. Do you consider NOW to be TIME? If yes, then we have control of time, right? Having the control of time gives me the idea that we should be able to make time in "Dreamland". In other words, how long we spend in a dream depends on us. Yes, there obstacle people talk about like stabilizing, excitement, fear etc. I want to think that those "obstacles" are the same as we have in "Wakeland". The obstacles we face that won't let us move ahead with plans and just give up, the going after your dream obstacles. I want to believe we can spend: days, weeks, months, years of time in a dream, but I have yet to hear about. However, there was something written online in a forum, I think it might have been in LD4ALL.com, I remember reading a guy's story. In his story he said he spent years in a dream and awoke in the morning after his slept 8-10 hours(I don't remember the time slept). I want to post a link, but I don't where it might be. I might have also read it wrong, but I think he did because after reading it I was amazed by it. -----After reading it I think I'm confused, but posted anyways =D.

Also, there are potentially other dimensions where other sentient beings exist, which should potentially mean that they are living through it. Our waking life could also be just another layer of dream...

Have you been in those other dimensions? I have read about them. Do you go there often? Are you in your body? Do you wake in "Dreamland" already there? Or make your way there? I want to ask, if it is possible to form a relationship with dream character, sentient beings? To ask them about their day. To hear about what they have experience in life? Do they sleep and Lucid Dream as well? What do they do all day?

So we can't be sure if it is still running since we are not there to experience except when dreaming.

Your dreaming self... I wonder if we could start a journal and read it every time you went back into Dreamland. Would there be anything new? I have read that words are stable, but I'm not 100% sure. Or just like above start a relationship and listen to conversation of events. When and if they were a child once and do they remember?

Yes, there obstacle people talk about like stabilizing, excitement, fear etc. I want to think that those "obstacles" are the same as we have in "Wakeland". Yeah I think the only real time is NOW, but we still have the illusion of past/future which I think is of benefit to our physical lives. I too think we should be able to manipulate it, even in waking life. We already do, without knowing I think, like when two people describe the same event and one person might have been there in the midst of it, so for them it seemed to happen slowly and they have more detail, whilst someone else observing from a distance may only see the whole thing really fast and with less detail.

In dreams however, I am still only a novice in this area, with only 2-3 years of lucid dreaming, the longest I have been in a dream was for an hour or so. I have also read stories of people living lifetimes or days and months in "dreamland". There should be a couple of threads here on this forum about it if you search for "time manipulation" or something of the sort. From my little experience though, I tend to stay longer in a dream when I go along with it for stability reasons as well as when I go to sleep within a dream it feels more stable to me and longer, but lots of people will say that it is still the same dream you are on and just an illusion.

Can't say I have for sure, but I think we all have. There are certain dreams that just feel different, which I think might be the difference between dreams and astral projection if they are not the same thing. It feels like the place I am in is an actual place, it is usually really stable and I don't see my memories around like people, place, objects... I usually just appear in these places since I become lucid though DILD the majority of time, but I have had dreams like these where I saw the dream scene form in front of my eyes. There was also a time when in the middle of a lucid a alien humanoid being with purplish skin colour started saying how I was a lucid dreamer and I begun to feel vibrations on my head on my actual physical body in bed and then a new dream scene started forming of a city where I saw more of these same humanoid beings, but then I lost the dream altogether and woke.

I think various people have formed relationships with dream characters (DC), even created ones. It would be interesting to ask those questions. Like I said earlier though, I am still a lucid dreaming novice and have much more to explore and experience. I have noticed that my relationship with a DC of mine who I know in waking life often reflects how we feel in relationship to one another in waking life. We had a rocky moment that also showed itself in "dreamland" and at one point we both seemed to be coming around and soon in waking life we did too.

Words can be stable or not, depends on what you expect, dream stabilisation, etc. I have read about people reading whole books whilst in "dreamland". It can be hard to remember what you read though as it is to remember dreams in general. It would be cool to see but it is probable that we might just read something randomly created by our imagination.
