It's June, the season of graduations, vacations, and lucidity. And what better way to fend off the summertime sadness (or wintertime worries for those in the Southern Hemisphere) than having some lucid dreams? And what better way to have more lucid dreams than to have a buddy to motivate you? And what better way to find a buddy to motivate you than to find one on the bestest lucid dreaming forum out there? Of course, I could keep going with this for a long time, but as a very wise person once said, "Ain't nobody got time for dat."
First order of business, the new pairs for this month are, in no particular order:
Now that you have your partners, you need to get to know them better. And what better way to get to know them better than to share your answers to several ridiculous questions? And what better way to find these ridiculous questions by looking in the list below?
- What was your favorite dream ever? How about your worst nightmare?
- What was the earliest dream you remember?
- What are some of your current dream goals?
- What are/were you favorite subjects in school?
- Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
- What would you say is your "spirit animal" and why (that is, what animal do you think your personality is most like)?
- If you had a yacht, what would you name it?
- If you could switch bodies with a celebrity, who would it be and why?
- If you could live in any sitcom, what would it be?
- And finally, finish this sentence: Once, just to attract attention, I... (example
Now as you imagine yourself as Captain Brad Pitt of the SS Flam-Buoyant, don't forget that the whole point of this program is the dreams. And what better way to have interesting dreams than to have goals for yourself? So check out the following lists of tasks for some motivation. Post your successes and failures in this thread, and (of course) share them with your buddies! They are ranked by difficulty, so try whichever ones you want:
Beginner
- Report your dreams each night to your buddy, even if you only remember small fragments (just the action of doing this can help improve your recall).
- Have your buddy appear in a dream of yours.
Intermediate
- Report at least one dream per night to your buddy.
- Summon your buddy in a lucid.
- Ask your buddy in a dream what their life motto is.
Expert
- Report at least two dreams per night to your buddy.
- Give your buddy a haircut in a dream, and describe their reaction.
- Make an elaborate invention with your buddy, describe what it does.
- Challenge your buddy to a duel. It can be a western gunslinger duel, or a battle of wits, or whatever you like. Be creative!
So that's it for formalities, the rest is up to you. And what better thing to do than show off your buddy-ness? And what better way to do that than by using this simple template in your signature?
