      Most Effective Technique

Hey guys! I'm back and I still haven't had a lucid dream yet

What's your most effective lucid dreaming technique that's listed above? If you haven't had a lucid dream using one of the techniques listed, please reply with whichever method you used. I'd like everyone that sees this post to take part in the poll so that I can gather more data and thus achieve more accurate results, thanks!

I think auto suggestion (DILD) is most effective for me. It creates a strong enough intention to activate my in-dream memory without being so strong that it keeps me awake or stresses me out.

I'm partial to MILDs. They're a bit of work and take time to master, but it's a powerful technique to be sure.

WBTB work for me; I wake up after 6 or 8 hours of sleep, I stay awake for about 1 hour or 2hours(in books they will tell you to stay awake for 30 mins, but it doesn't work for me) then I go back to sleep. The more time I spend awake, the more chance to have a lucid dream increase, but it's just me.

The most effective techniques for me have been WBTB+MILD.

DILD and WILD aren't techniques, they're descriptors of how the lucid portion of a dream begins. For example, you can have a DILD that was induced with WBTB and MILD, or a WILD that was induced with DEILD.

I had most success with DILD as well as DEILD, because of unstable sleep patterns I haven't been able to try a proper WBTB and the only WILD I had was accidental, but it still counts I guess. My highest success is with DEILD as far as techniques go.

I made my account specifically to try and answer your question. The absolute best way to achieve a lucid dream IMO is to set your alarm for around 5 to 6 hours into your sleep cycle meaning as soon as you fall asleep try to wake up 5 to 6 hours into your you sleep. Once your alarm wakes you up chill for a few minutes in your bed then fall back asleep I guarantee you will have a vivd ass dream. Im sure there is some term for this strategy, Sometimes it happens on accident with me because I have insomnia. This is the best way for me but then again I've been experimenting with lucid dreaming for quite some time I find it more of a hobby. The other way I find to be some what successful is to just take a nap sometimes you can have some crazy life like dreams. If worst comes to worst and you just cant have one you can alway enjoy vivid dreams without being lucid they are almost just as interesting, take 10 to 20mg of melatonin and you'll have a CRAZY and I mean CRAZY dream but its still not gonna be lucid. Try my first suggestion a few times and eventually you'll have one promise.
