Need help, trying for 2 years with no success

Something's wrong. I have been trying to lucid dream for about 2 years now with no success, only 3 or 4 pre-lucids. I'm wondering whether you guys can tell if I'm doing anything wrong by the intro to myself (probably not that useful, but who knows?!?) and my average day below.

      Intro to me (TicTacoToe)
I am a male 14 year old psychopath. I feel as if I fake most emotions when in social situations and can't seem to get into the habit of doing reality checks on a regular basis.

      Daily routine
7am - Wake up + write up dreams in DJ

7:30 - 7:45am - Research nuclear physics or lucid dreaming

8am - Take bus to school

      8 - 8:30am - Play video games on phone until tutor+register etc.

      8:50 - 10:50am - Lessons

      10:50 - 11:10am - Break time, I usually eat bread/chocolate bar/cheese on toast

      11:10am - 1:10pm - Lessons

      1:10 - 1:50pm - Lunch time, I usually eat a doughnut/sweets/both (I'm not fat IRL and I don't know how )

      1:50 - 3:00pm - Last Lesson

3:00 - 3:30pm - Take bus home from school and play video games on bus

3:30 - 4:00pm - Drink a cup of tea and watch an episode of Seinfeld or something like that

4:00 - 6:00pm - Go to my next door neighbour's house and play Minecraft l

      6:00pm - Dinner

      6:30 - 9:00pm - Watch a movie or a few episodes of a series

9:00 - 10:00pm - Sometimes read a book but most of the time I go on my phone in my bedroom

10:00 - 10:10pm - Read DJ and go to bed

11:00pm - Fall asleep (about this time I think, possibly later)

2:30am - Sometimes wake up and try WILD/FILD

7:00am - Good morning (I mean this in the way of "its the morning and I feel tired, I hate getting up this early")

      My weekends go like this

      Wake up at about 8:30ish
      Do nothing/play videogames/exercise all day
Go to sleep between 10pm and 12pm depending on how tired I am

Thanks for getting this far, reply telling me what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas welcome because I've been trying for 2 years and it's starting to get tedious.

      Smile Hiya!

Getting into the habit of doing RCs can be quite challenging.

You seem to do a lot of the basic routines of an average lifestyle, but have you ever thought of doing reverse reality checks (RRC)? I'm getting a feeling that you are doing all these things without thinking deeply as to why you are doing them which could be affecting yourself being aware in dreams. This might help:

      Hey

Sometimes it takes a while for lucidity to kick in, sleep habits are a big part of that. How are the nature of your dreams? Are they generally vivid and easy to remember? Are they vague and difficult to recall? If they are foggy it'd be a good idea to work on sleep habits and the quality of your dreams, lucidity will come later.

If you have pretty solid dreams though, and RC's aren't working for you, there are ways to shift gears and work on other skills. The point of RCing at it's core is to help you become more aware. If you cannot remember to do reality checks when you are awake and your mind is thinking clearly then how can you expect to remember to do them when you are in a dream?

So you need to find another way to increase your daily lucid awareness. To be aware of your mind and it's relation to the world. Look up ADA techniques, find ways to think about dreaming during the day that isn't a mindless routine. It can be as simple as finding reasons during the day to marvel at the the world and the amazing ability of your senses to perceive it.

The feelings emotional disconnection in social situations does not have to affect your practice, in fact exploring compassion and human connection is a wonderful application of dream work. Dreams themselves are in part a construct of your emotional fabric, I find that the more I work with my dreams the easier and more rewarding it is to recognize and honestly embody my true emotions. I feel less pressure to fulfill other peoples expectations of me, and the less I "perform" the more honestly they deal with me in return. It's another aspect of dreaming to consider if nothing else

I look forward to hearing about your progress! After two years you deserve some ;D

I agree. Spend more time developing your mindfulness throughout the day. Yoga/Meditation and RRCs

I think what's wrong is that your connection with your personal dreams is too weak.

How often do you analyze (not just write and read) past dreams and think about what you want to do in them in the future?

Keep in mind, in trying to lucid dream, the most important time of the day is the time you're dreaming. So, that time of day should be treated as such.

Try WILD / FILD later! 3-3:30 of sleep is too early. Try doing it at 4-4:30 am

Try getting at least an hour of sun light without the risk of sunburn.

OFF TOPIC: And hey, I just gotta say that you Americans are lucky. You bring your phones n games to school. But in here (Ethiopia, Africa) we cant even bring a calculator. So how old are you? Just to know.
And of you're wonderin' how an African 15 yrs old teen speaks ,writes , English very well, which you probably are, well I just watch a lot of your (American) movies. And I can do accents very well like American, British n Mafian accent.

And by the way,not sure but playing video games also increase LDs. Just to let ya know.

Pretty sure video games do because you're controlling the actions of a person in a fantasy setting. So your decision making processes have to be involved instead of passively watching.
