If you're cutting your sleep short at night your body will make up REM during the day because it prioritizes deep sleep. They'll be more vivid because there's no nREM in there I suspect. |

I have noticed how when I go to sleep in the afternoon (like for 2-3 hours) I sometimes end up having dreams (just normal dreams, not lucid), and the dreams are more vivid. When I wake up I can recall these afternoon dreams more than I can recall dreams that occur at night. The afternoon dreams are just more vivid. Has this happened to anyone? Because I noticed the difference in dreams that occur in afternoon naps and sleep at night. |

That makes perfect sense. I do get really short sleep at night and am in deep sleep in the afternoon. Thanks |

This definitely happens to me. Afternoon naps produce really vivid dreams. Sometimes you can tell which naps are going to be good for dreaming because you feel a 'flickering' sensation behind your eyes beforehand. |
