      My first (two) lucid dreams!

      Hey DV,

I'm a lurker here for about 3 weeks. Last night I was able to have my first lucid dream, and my second lucid dream too! This was all very exciting for me because throughout the day I had been doing reality checks and practising MILD ("I will have a lucid dream tonight"). So, I went to bed normally after that, then I woke up at 1AM and I couldn't recall any dreams so I did some more MILD, but this time, I had an LD. Here's the extract from my DJ:

""I think I had my first lucid. I was standing on a roof but I believe there was some kind of door on the roof and when I passed through it I remembered to do an RC and I think the test failed. But after that I remember very little just that another guy was on there with me and that I was kind of sucked back into the real world""

After I realised I was lucid dreaming my body kind of woke up and I was semi-daydreaming after that.
I had another slightly more durable lucid dream but I don't think I should share lol.

I'm going to try MILD again tonight, any tips or thoughts are hugely appreciated? Thanks.

Congratz on your first lucid(s)! Cool that you managed to have two lucids for the first time in the same night. Also remember if you have any difficulty deciding if you were lucid or not, remember that you are lucid ( even if only low-level or partially lucid ) if you know you're dreaming.

I suggest checking out Prospective Memory Practice for the MILD if you haven't already. Links for the PMP guides : Guide 1 , Guide 2

Thanks so much! I don't think I can articulate how appreciative I actually am for that advice. As I'm returning to school soon it will be easier to practise Prospective Memory (more interactions/less sedentary). Crossed fingers for tonight too. Will update in the morning.

      Update 1:

Well tonight I slept like a log, I only remembered my thought when I woke up, and after lying in bed I still couldn't remember my dreams. I decided I was going to try FILD (after 9 hrs sleep) but after 20 minutes of trying to sleep/using FILD it was clear that I wasn't going back to sleep, hope I have better luck tonight :c
