I will speak for myself here, i don't know what the others think about that.
Sometimes in a dream you got into some situations that push you to sex (attractive behaviours, situations made by your brain to incite you do have some sex etc..). I personally don't try to make it happen on purpose, it's not my "dream focus" but sometimes you got into the game.. For me, i can only enter the dream in the seduction game because that's where i can catch the point that i'm dreaming for some reasons. After that, you can do whatever you want in this area (fantasise etc) and i don't know why but for me, the girl knows eveything about me so it's pretty interesting, you can have a great great experience and faster than in real life. So obviously it's pretty easy to compare from real life experiences even if in a dream for me, it's less mentaly powerful if you see what i mean. You don't have the big big seduction game, it's more physical and temporary even if you can do the same dream again and again or with the same person on your case.
But yeah, depends on your level in Lucid Dreaming but if you are in full control it's pretty powerful and you learn A lot.

I'm just an amateur right now so I haven't experienced anything like that yet. But I have to believe that a lot of people have thought about lucid dreaming sex, even if that isn't part of their goal. Everyone has been curious about that, but what I know for sure is that lucid dreaming sex is more of an advanced task and not really easy to do,

I've had some mild lucid sexual experiences, and they are certainly very memorable. The main thing I have found has been a profound feeling of well being on waking - not satisfaction, but just that feeling good about the world generally.
I guess everyone probably has non-lucid sexual dreams, but lucid ones seem to be even better.
I just wish I had longer, more frequent LDs and better dream control!

I wont get into details but i will be honest. I've been lucid dreaming since i was a kid so sex dreams wasn't the reason i started lucid dreaming but now quite often i lucid dream to specifically have naughty fun time. At first i didn't have much luck but i developed a technique of my own for this purpose and i'm now having success fairly often.
Before i talk about my technique i should say i am quite lucky that i seem to have some natural ability to enter a lucid state and have done since i was probably about 8 years old ( maybe even earlier but i don't remember). The first time it happened i still remember vividly 20 odd years later. in the dream i was alone in my school playground and began or some reason to goosestep like the nazi germans used to. as i did it my steps got bigger and bigger and i began to bounce, then float and then fly around in the air. I knew i was dreaming since i was flying and from then on i seemed to have an uncanny ability to realise i'm in a dream state and that's when the magic happens ( provided you don't jolt awake with the shock or excitement of course as i have done hundreds of times!)
Anyway back on topic.
For some reason doors in dreams have always been extremely important to me, they are my " no i don't like this environment i want to be somewhere else" re-roll, if i don't like my surroundings i dive through a door willing what i want to be on the otherside. If i end up in a place i don't like i simply seek out the next door and keep on going. When it comes to sex i started off just imagining my partner waiting for me through the door and had a look inside. I didn't have much success using this technique, what tended to happen is i ended up in an empty room and then disappointed i would run to another door and try again but i kept finding nothing and ended up feeling like i was just sprinting to door after door after door in a blind panic almost which always resulted in a frustrating ' excitement awakening'. After many disappointments i sat and thought about how to adapt my technique for ages and i found a plan to try eventually.

Once i arrive in the lucid state and get that " hooray i'm dreaming!" rush i imagine the door as usual but instead of simply rushing through hoping to find a partner for some fun i stand at the door trying my hardest to imagine someone in the room and then i knock on the door and shout " hello?" or " is anyone there?" or words to that effect. Sometime nothing would happen and i feel compelled to try a ' re-roll', in other words walk through the door and seek out the next door to try again. But sometime i hear a womans voice saying " hello" or " yes i'm here" or words to that effect. Then i try to keep cool so i don't wake up and go in to find someone waiting for me. I think it's somehow tricking my subconcious with this knocking waiting for an answer thing, it's like i'm telling my brain to make something reply and then i use logic to force my brain to create someone. Logic dictates if you knock on a door and someone replies then you know someone must be in there! When i was simply rushing through door after door in a desperate to find someone state it was driving me to wake up and i often woke up cursing myself for wasting another lucid session running through tons of doors ( i get the feeling i must be opening way more than 10 doors before i wake up just really rapidly one after the other not allowing a new environment time to form).

I will say this though to people who are trying to have lucid sex dreams. I find it extremely difficult if not impossible to choose my exact partner. You might have a favourite crush or a celeb or a certain person in mind that you want to get it on with but in my experience it leads to failed attempts and for me personally it leads to the dreaded sprinting through doors routine. I think it's because when you see someone in the flesh or in a picture or movie you can see exactly what they look like but you cannot accurately re-create how they look in your mind's eye. I wanted a certain woman to appear for me but even now as i type i can sort of imagine her face but not exactly every detail. close your eyes for a minute and try it yourself now. You kinds see the eyes and maybe the hair style or smile or some prominent feature they have but i'm guessing you don't see their exact face, it's blurry. I think this stops your subconcious creating them in your lucid dream. Having said that i know some people do have people they know appear in their dreams and i certainly have aswell ( like a friend or a celeb) but i think thats sort of accidently and although you seem to know who they are i bet they still seem a bit hazy or blurry. Anyway i stopped trying to get the perfect person for my naughty lucid dreams and instead just thought " give me a woman please!" and i now have a much higher success rate with that vague request to my brain aswell as tricking it by knocking on the door asking for a reply. My mind tends to give me my ideal body shape ( big and curvy) and a random face i find appealing but it struggles to give me anything at all if i think of my ideal partner. Having said all that there might be people out there that have no problem choosing the perfect people to see in dreams but for some reason i don't have that ability unless it happens by accident in more normal non lucid dreams.

In hypnosis you can remember many details. In your dreams you can have your relatives, friends, actors...even the Mona Lisa. I think the dream builds up from concious and subconcious things, and this second one is huge.

I think just about everyone on here has had sexual experiences in dreams. Some of us are more adept/interested in this kind of thing, but we all like to have sex or do sexual things in a dream from time to time. And like Goldenspark said, sex is a connection you make with another so even if the connection is with a dream figure, we still feel the benefits upon waking, especially if there was a strong sense of the DC being an "other."

Yes i sometimes have people i know in my dreams but they don't appear perfect to me during lucid dreams if you know what i mean. They always tend to have some kind of fuzzyness or blurred aspect. Like i know who they are but something is kind of not quite right. I think this is the reason i rarely get my ideal partner when trying sex dreaming, i have a much better success rate when i allow my brain to choose the details. I just tell myself i want to find " any woman" and the brain does the rest. I don't bother trying to pick the exact person i like anymore as i usually end up running through empty rooms and numerous doors and end up wasting the dream.

Dazzle I feel like you are my dream clone in many ways. Your door theory is interesting to me especially since I just had a door experience last night with a dream remote lol.
I feel like my senses are extremely sensitive in my dreams, not just one sense but all of them. I actually can feel physical pain, smells are enough to make me nauseous at times, I get dizzy with checkers, I seem to hear thoughts of others and intimacy and sexual experiences for me are just as powerful in every way imaginable as real life. That would probably hurt my husbands feelings so shhhh lol. I cannot say enough good things about dreaming. I have read that you cannot experience in dreams things that you don't already know. This is NOT true. I have done it over and over. Dreams don't get near enough credit! Lucid or not...

I totally agree with that Serene, and if you think about it, it's totally illogical to think that we can't dream about things we haven't experienced.
All of us can imagine things we haven't experienced, so that means we can also dream about them. It doesn't mean the dream will be exactly like the real experience, but it can be very close.

I probably have sex in about 10% of my lucid dreams! I mostly use LD sex to have sex with people I would never have a chance with IRL (e.g. celebrities), or fulfill fantasies I am yet to nervous too disclose to my gf .

Err... what was the question? Oh, right. Successful sex in dreams. Yes, I would say I'm usually pretty successful at dream sex when I intend to .

I was hoping some of the women would come forward as well. Maybe this is this something I should not have asked, but I was curious! Naughty me. If the women have not experimented with this I would really suggest they give it a try! Doesn't have to be just the act but everything that leads up to it is extremely sensual!

My reply was tongue-in-cheek (tongue in where? ), those who are familiar with my dreaming proclivities know I have a way with the dream-ladies. We have some expert sexy dreamers of the female persuasion on staff.

Haha, excellent thread. I can't believe I didn't think of starting it myself, but I'm already very naughty

Sex and flying are both #1 on most LDers wishlist. Probably not always and for everybody, especially if you had enough of that kind of experience. For me, looking for a partner in a lucid its more of a primal urge than a conscious decision. Sometimes I spent the whole DEILD chain on looking for it a getting it. It became so bad, that I had to start a mantra "no sex no sex". I allowed myself to spend last 1-2 LDs in a chain on sex, if I manage to stay away from it in first ones and do something like Task of the Month. It's kinda hard to stay on track, when a group of construction workes cat-calls you. First time I just walked by, second time I said screw it and all the plans went out the window. It's all my mind's fault, haha.

So, my first "happy endings" were in a recurring non lucids I had as a teen. Those were all without a partner, just by climbing a street light pole or a tree. And as I was reading your OP, serene, I just recalled that I had one of these just a few days ago. And I thought they stopped many years ago.

Now in lucids, I am always my correct gender, but I don't make a big deal out of whom I grab. Most of the time I just grab the first person I see. I don't really worry about the logistics of it, haha, or about taking the clothes off or other silly little details. 95% of the time the dream has a "happy ending". And in the rest 5%, I ask for a refund
