Hello I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this thread, but sorry about your dog...

If it's the truth about how it died? I have no idea, that's a really hard question. But I wanted to say, all three of my now dead childhood dogs occassionally show up in my dreams, even years later. And those experiences are really heartening sometimes. Personally, I just treasure them when they come because whether it's real or not I get to spend some time with my dogs. But if you do end up finding out how it died (irl), and it coincides with your dream, please let us know.

To answer your question, if you have a lucid dream you may be able to find your dog and ask it questions. You can try using your mind and it could communicate back, who knows. Or you can speak verbally and it may reply through it's actions. Dreams can be a great coping mechanism, so I would encourage you to look into them. Just don't use it as a way to hold onto your grief.

      Best regards,
      Dexter
