      Please Help!

I want to start by saying, I have never been nor have ever tried to be a lucid dreamer. I very rarely even remember my dreams... Until recently.
For about 6 months now, I have been having lucid nightmares accompanied with multiple false awakenings. These nightmares often include some sort of demonic figure. In these dreams, I am fully aware that I'm dreaming and have even stated the fact to people around me in the dream. A few times I have woken both myself and my fiancé up yelling at the demonic figure to "get out", knowing they cannot stay if I tell them they have to leave. I have been yelling it out loud in my sleep while yelling it in the dream. Most of the time, I end up yelling at myself to wake up. This is where the false awakenings come in. When I tell myself to wake up, I will wake up in bed with my fiancé, only to discover that I have awoken into another lucid nightmare. It will often take 2-3 false awakenings before I finally actually wake up. A few times, when I've woken in reality, I have had sleep paralysis. And a few other times, I've had trouble knowing if I was really awake or not. It has taken several minutes for me to be sure I've really woken up.
These dreams are the most realistic and frightening dreams I have ever had and I want them to stop. When I wake up, I can often still taste, smell or feel things that had been a part of the dream.
These dreams always happen not long after I've first fallen asleep. When I wake up, it's usually 1 to 2 hours after the time I went to bed. It usually takes me a little while to fall back to sleep because I'm so shaken up by the dream(s), but once I do, I typically don't have another one in the same night.
Does anyone have any idea what could have caused me to start having these dreams and what I can do to put an end to them? I'm losing sleep and am beginning to reach the point that I don't like to go to bed at night. I am willing to try almost anything. If anyone can help, I would be so grateful.
Thanks for taking the time to read.

Hey! Since all this started about 6 months for you. Then can you remember any change in particular that might have had happen in your personal life if you look back those months?

Dreams is a very fleeting subject, but naturally nightmares corresponds with a stressful state of mind. So I see it as likely that you have some inner stress that you might consciously know about, or that you might unconsciously suppress.

If there is any particular theme trough out your nightmares, then that could be helpful as well for interpreting the potential cause.

The only recurrence is there are often demonic figures in the dreams and in several of them people have stood on the wall or the ceiling.
The only thing that has changed since the dreams started is the political climate which has been causing me quite a bit of stress. Perhaps I need to take a step back from politics for a bit.
Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it very much.

i'm also having nightmares about the news :-(
Anyway when you already have been getting lucid why not try learning to control it and doing something fun with it :-) you could try teleporting as soon as you see this demon dude.

You know what happens when your worldview get's turned upside down? People in general won't have any common ground with you any longer, so it makes more sense for them to walk in the ceiling according to a dream. So they dont appear as human either then, but demons instead because of the brains way to try to cope with the fear that comes with losing the a well know/established ground. And no people are known to walk in the ceiling either, so they become unknown mosters/demons as a natural answear to that.

Yeah it sounds like you deserve some rest from politics, or maybe try to see if you can find a way to embrace the situation in a calmer state of mind. Im glad that you found my word helpful, and hopfully/likely the dreams will calm down as you understand your situation from a more contructive perspective as well.

Feel free to ask anything if that is so. Otherwise, good luck to you!

Although your nightmares are frightening, try to convince yourself that you can come to no harm (in waking life).
Then set the intention to stand and confront these demons next time you have a nightmare. You don't need to do this in an aggressive way. Set the intention to move towards them / it, and ask a simple question like, "what are you doing here?". Be nice towards them and they will change into something more pleasant. There are many examples of this working, so it WILL work for you. Then you can start enjoying your lucid dreams.
