      Lucid Dreaming Day EVENT

      Hi all,

As you probably know, tomorrow (April 12th) is Lucid Dreaming Day.

To celebrate I've organised a one of a kind YouTube live stream event. It is, of course, free.

      The stream guests will include:

      • Me, Daniel Love - Author of "Are You Dreaming?" and The Lucid Guide.
      • Dr Keith Hearne - The scientist responsible for scientifically verifying lucid dreaming.
      • Tim Post of Snoozon, Lucidipedia.
      • Geo from Lucid Source.
      • And Max Hunter and James Bray (aka Spacetimebadass) from Team Lucid Dream.

During the event, we'll be answering your questions.

So, if you've got any lucid dreaming related questions you'd like me and the panel to answer, drop them below.

We'll obviously not have time to answer them all, but we'll pick those that are the most entertaining, unique and interesting. You'll also have a chance to ask questions in the live chat.

The event streams at 9pm (BST) on Wednesday, April 12th.

      Simply follow this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ9dV1AO3EI

Don't forget to subscribe to the channel to be reminded.

So, pour yourself a drink and join us on YouTube, Wednesday at 9pm(BST).

Submit your questions below and we'll do our best to answer as many as possible in the live stream.

Hi, I think ... only think ... that I may be one of the most experienced DEILD'ers in the UK. I learned from Michael Raduga's Phase techniques and find them highly effective and have been very successful with them. I have however over time acquired many questions that simply have no answers online.

I have read all lucid dreaming books available and have consulted with many other DEILD'ers but many questions remain unsolved and unanswered and I do seek these answers from my own practice so that I may help others.

Questions such as ..... What is the actual point of a WBTB when attempting to DEILD from a non lucid dream? Its always recommended to WBTB before attemping to DEILD but theres no logical reason for this. Simply remembering to keep still on micro awakenings during the night is all thats needed.

Questions such as ... When we use micro awakenings during the night, are these awakenings after each rem period or after each individual dream? We are led to believe that we awaken briefly after each rem period but then how is it possible to DEILD back into nrem2? Surley we need continuous REM to DEILD which would mean that we awaken after each dream naturally instead of after each sleep cycle

Questions such as.... Why do all the authors say that good dream recall is needed to be a successful lucid dreamer? A lucid dream is like a real life memory and much easier to retain when waking up. Its very difficult to forget to stable lucid dream

Quseiotns such as ... when performing a WILD, why is there the need to only hold onto a small amount of awareness as our bodies fall asleep? Why not just really keep the mind alert with fast mantras and deep thinking etc. Im sure the body would still fall asleep however alert the mind was as long as one kept still during the process. Ive performed many wilds whilst really doing my best to keep my mind very alert indeed

Ive read your book Daniel - enjoyable read but once again im left with the biggest questions of all ...... DEILD is the easiest and most straightforward and reliable way to achieve lucidity, so why is it so underadvertised? Your book hardly mentions DEILD of the techniques to go with it instead ( like nearlt every other author ) concentrated on the harder and time consuming method of Mild which required dream journaling and daily reality checks - none of that is needed my DEILD

I do have many questions relating to DEILD that I have to solve myself, i hope you guys can help! I respect all of your work / books and look forward to the stream tomorrow night :-)

      Questions:
      can we force REM atonia?
people often stabilize by movement or dream control when they feel the dream slipping, and also DEILD back when they wake up from a lucid dream, does this mean that REM atonia can be pushed on by our will? or by stimulating senses in yout imagination? i know that people do this often, i just kind of want to know what it looks like from a physical standpoint, jumping in and out of REM atonia like that seems like we can actually start REM atonia without waiting, as well as prolonging it.

When does a dream, or sleep start?
When i am in a lucid dream, i can often hear outside noised, audiobooks or songs as well, when i am obviously in a dream in the middle of the night. so at that point I am obviously in a dream, but only 4 of 5 senses. When visualizing through the day there is often a "tipping point" where i can no longer feel or move my waking body. usually i will have 3, 4, or 5 senses in those dreams. in the past it was when something came up that i didnt visualize, but now i can create those instantly by visualizing my phone and skipping through messages that are whole conversations that dont exist and pics that dont exist. lol. might be a little long explanation of the question, but i have basically come to my own conclusions that waking and sleeping arent really that much different when you can visualize so well, the line is very blurred. So I dont really count lucid dreams much anymore since i dont know when to call it? just when all my tactile sensations are there and rem atonia starts? or when more dream senses exist than waking? or does it have to be all the senses?

also, since there are so many "experts" on lucid dreaming, can i ask each of your thoughts on time dilation? non scientifically, just what you believe.

also, i hope you guys post the video after the stream. that time doesn't work for me at all.

Sweet!!! A live stream *today* with Daniel Love, Dr Keith Hearne, Tim Post, Geo, Max Hunter, James Bray, & Spacetimebadass all in one place! Yes, I am shamelessly plugging for the good of our LD community, but I truly am looking forward to the headliners especially and do expect to get something of value from all of them. I also hope it is available for replay as I will be working at times during the event.

Yes, looks like 1PM Pacific, 2pm Mountain, 3pm Central, 4pm Eastern - google will quickly convert the time for anyone around the globe who's not sure (i.e. search: '9pm bst to pacific' ; or search: '9pm bst to my time' - if location is turned on). Edit: OR follow the link - it has a countdown clock and some have started chatting already...

QUESTION: There are those that say lucid dreaming is easy and we just make it difficult. Do you think there is truth in this statement?
