I need an expert level advice - weird dreams of mine. (adult content)

Hello... This is a long one, so brace yourselves... the wint...story is coming

Where do I start. I seem to have an unusual talent for spontaneous astral plane travels. I have never trained this. I seem to have developed my own technique and I feel that none of the training guides will work for me, it's just... my own special "super power". I didn't even know that it may be astral out of body experiences until I started to discuss this stuff with a friend of mine.

So, in reality I have cerebral palsy. I am 27 years old, I'm an English interpreter from Poland (forgive me any errors, It is not my native language, but in a way it is also my line of work, so.... I guess I will be able to describe all this)

You see... I kinda feel that by training it via mainstream ways, I will ruin it. My own "magic". I also cannot use many of these methods because I simply use an electric wheelchair, so many of the stuff I "need" to do to train the astral voyages, would involve waking my parents up in the middle of the night, writing stuff down, etc. The point is, I Have never needed it at all.

I've had my share of lucid dreams, fantasies, creating stuff, summoning my exes for, and so on, but the stuff I want to talk about seems to be the next level of this.

You see, there are two things

First. I am often being dragged by something to somewhere in my dreams. I know this is OBE, but you seem to describe this period as sleep paralysis... The point is, in my dreams, this is often only the beginning... When I'm being dragged to somewhere this is my sign that "shit just got serious"

These dreams are very different from lucid dreams, or normal dreams... I am 100% aware that this is only a dream, nothing will really hurt me, and there are two things that may happen at this point:

      1. It may end as a very, VERY good dream, yet also a little bit too real. Only yesterday I had a dream about having sex in my room with someone. It was good. I felt that this woman was friendly, she didn't mean no harm, it was wonderful, yet I also felt that I should not, even could not get a good look on her, because that will somehow ruin it. It was. We have Polish mythology and I imagined it to be a friendly succubus, or something like that. She definitely didn't want me to get a good look at her, but she was really friendly,

      2. It may end in a very crazy or even bad adventure, sort of nightmarish one, often involving few nasty waking-ups, several layers of dreams (Inception anyone? I've had this before it was cool ). Nothing in there can really hurt me, it is kinda like an unpleasant horror movie at cinema, you know you dislike it, but you cannot really leave until it's over. I am a gamer, so this stuff seems often like a game to me. One I must try to finish, one I may loose, one I sometimes win, but even if I do loose, it will be a little unpleasant, but it cannot really harm me. I can even switch perspectives at will (TPP, FPP, gamers will understand). It is kind of cool, but also can be very tiresome and unpleasant. In these dreams I may be killed, raped, tortured, set on fire, fell from very high places, getting strangled, so on... It doesn't really hurt, All i feel is the feeling similar to the feeling, when your body is getting numb, not real pain... But... I am 27, male virgin, and think I experienced some real sex through this.

But it is also worth to mention that in real life I am bound to a wheelchair, but here I am not. I can protect myself if I "train" before my sleep by imagining the stuff I do in video games. I successfully became Dante from "devil may cry" to fight these... demons? there, I have unleashed Venom symbiote on something that tried to attack me, Used Little Sisters from Bioshock and Alice from Madness Returns to protect me... All kind of cool stuff...

I don't really know how to access astral plane, it just seems to happen at random and I have to be always prepared for some crazy shit in my dreams

One other thing. When I am really, really tired and can't sleep, I have hallucinations. I knew the Polish word for these, it seems like the dream starts before I manage to sleep, and for a few seconds I can see some weird but harmless stuff, once it was a cat on my pillow, another time it was my own hand (third one?) lying on the floor of my own room (out of body experience false start?), sometimes it will spook me a little

Can any of you offer me some advice how to control it better? Remember that I have cerebral palsy, and I really can't do much in the middle of the night. I would really like to read some "visitor's guide to astral plane" if such a thing even exist, because it's kinda amazing and scary at the same time.

And please, one more thing. If you offer me some advice, please skip the usual warnings about how dangerous it is, what bad may happen... The point is. I KNOW. I'm kinda afraid of reading too much about this, because I often read about sleep paralysis, many dangers, demons, death, so on, so on and my brain feeds on this... I really know the dangers and the source of my "power" lies in the fact, that I am reassuring myself that they cannot harm me, nothing bad will happen, and so on. But if I read too much about the bad stuff, I will start to experience this stuff just because I have read about this, so please, don't scare me, help me control this, teach me... This stuff simply happens in my case, I cannot really stop it, because I have never trained it and never asked for this. I desire knowledge, but only the knowledge that can help me.

So please, share some knowledge with me, if you can, but spare the evil stuff, because trust me, I know, but I still cannot block these dreams. I may only learn how to "beat the game" if something bad wants to challenge me there, nothing wrong ever really happened there and I need to be sure of that.

      Hi weasley!

      I read the whole thing : D

No worries, I will NOT try to talk you out of this or warn you. Because I have experienced everything that you are describing. Well, almost everything And most of lucid dreamers here have experienced it. You will only hear scary warnings from people who never experienced it or who got a lucid dream or some transition sensations without having any prior knowledge about what they are experiencing, and then not researching it any more out of fear.

      1.
What you are describing sounds like Lucid Dreams. If some of your experiences were out of body experiences or astral projections, I will not try to dispute that. I have had a few experiences that started out the same way as a LD, but I know they were OBEs. They just felt different.

      2.
So "main event" I believe you had was a lucid dream. There are 2 ways to enter a lucid dream:

      A) DILD (Dream Initiated LD) - you fall asleep normally, and during a normal dream you for some reason realize that you are dreaming - you become lucid.

      B) WILD - (Wake Initiated LD) - you enter a dream directly from being awake, without losing awareness.

In this second type (WILD) you may encounter sensations that you had. We call this time between being awake and entering a fully formed dream transition. During this transition, a dream may already start to form. We may see it as images or even videos. We can also hear or physically feel things.

If you know it's coming, it can be quite enjoyable, as the sensations can be very intense and they can feel or sound or look very real. I personally enjoy them very much.

I used to have a lot of what you describe "being dragged away". Except I felt it as I was flying at incredible (warp) speed over some bumpy surface. I also fall from high places and I love it so much, I do anything to find something tall, even if it's just a chair I can climb on and fall backwards. The feeling is incredible. I was also picked up and thrown around, fell through my bed, heard some insects flying around me, felt a squirrel lick my brain, haha.

These are all normal, haha. They can happen, but they also don't have to. We enter a lucid dream with or without them. When we don't have any of these sensations to let us know that we are about to enter a dream, we may enter it and still think we are awake. That happened to me a lot.

      3.
If you are getting lucid dreams and you want to keep getting them, there is no need to follow any other instructions. You seem to be getting them naturally.

      4.
There is no need to be getting up at night for a WBTB - Wake, back to bed. We do that so we wake up our minds a little bit, so when we are falling asleep for a WILD type of a LD, we don't fall asleep too soon, before a dream is formed and we can enter it. But for you, there is no need, since you are WILDing without that.

You also don't need to write them down. We do write them down to our dream journals to boost our dream recall and better our chances of having another LD. And it's fun to read them later and recall all the awesome stuff we pulled off. But if you don't want to, you don't need to write the down.

      5.
It's great, that you seem to instinctively know that it's just a dream and nothing can hurt you. Because that's how it is. Even pain in a dream doesn't hurt. I have never had a really scary lucid dream. And I have never had a really scary Hypnagogic Hallucination, or HH. That's what we call the images, sounds or tactile sensations we can feel during the transition. But to some people, my experiences may sound really scary.

I guess it really is individual, how we see these sensations. If you know that they can't hurt you, then can be very enjoyable, even if they are intense.

      6.
Inception type of dream - we call this False Awakening. When you wake up from a dream, you start to go about your day, only to realize later that it's still just a dream. Then you may wake up for real or have another FA.

One last thing. You have most likely noticed, that things happen in dreams if you just think of them happening. So if you have a bad lucid dream, you can change the story, or teleport yourself into another dreamscape.

Not sure if I left any of your questions unanswered. If so, please let me know. I would also love to know more about your experiences, if you would like to share. And if you want, we have a Dream Journal here on the forum where you can post your entries.

      Good luck and happy dreams!

      Thank you for your response

As you said, some experiences just feel different, and I can distinguish other type of LD, when in the middle of a dream I can suddenly become aware that I'm dreaming. In these dreams I'm in total control, but despite this, they are quite.... "normal", harmless, and so on.

Yet sometimes the dream starts in a "copy" of my room, when I am being dragged away by something, and land somewhere, the feeling like I'm being kidnapped from my own room at the very beginning. Yesterday I read about out of body experience here, and this description was quite similar to the beginning of these dreams. I am also even more aware than during typical LD, During LD I sometimes do silly, stupid stuff, even when I'm aware, here I am more in control of myself, but, what's important, I cannot control the world itself so good, like in a lucid dream, the world itself feels quite... uncharted and dangerous. It tries to control me, not the other way around. Sometimes I can even feel both, me in a dream, and also me, lying in my bed and sleeping. When the dream becomes bad, sometimes I can wake myself (the one ying in my bed) from it, and if i try hard enough, I can create some sort of emergency exit out of a dream, but sometimes I have no power there, or cannot do the stuff I want. When these dreams are good, they often involve meeting some entities out of this world, some friendly, some not. Or talking to my dead relatives, being fully aware that they are dead, and asking them stuff about afterlife (they never told me much and , are quite reluctant about this and really vague), once I had a feeling that I visited my grandpa in some sort of purgatory... And believe me, I don't really have an active imagination to create all this stuff in my head. I am good at recreating the stuff I know,, but if you ask me to make something up... That would be like asking me to run

My point is. Lucid dreams feel like my playground, which consists of the stuff I know, people I know, and some silly, but quite "normal" dream situations, when I become aware in the middle of this type of dream, I'm having pure silly fun inside my own head, no big deal.

But this second type of dream is rare. More dangerous, more rewarding also if it goes well, more challenging. And also it consists of some other worlds, creatures, entities, that I would never ever be able to create, make up in my head, because I simply lack the imagination to do this, so there are "my dreams", and these dreams, where I feel like I don't belong here. Some creature that I often have to fight there (yes, recurring nemesis of mine, it often looks at the beginning like a member of my family, and tricks me into believing that it's are original, just to attack me by surprise and loose the rest of its disguise) told me that "you are trespassing here, tyrannizing" and I replied "you are the ones that bring me here and attack me first. I didn't ask for that".... So, I don't really believe these dreams are LD, because I am often endangered here.

      What do you guys think?

Oh, and one more thing. When I escape from the bad dream of this type, I often feel really exhausted, to the point, where I can barely open my eves, "my" LD are not so exhausting, only these

I agree, that often times all we have to go on is our "feel". How something feels different.

From what I have heard from others, and from reading some books on OBE/AP, I believe, that there are lucid dreams which are just a dream in which we are aware that we are dreaming. They most likely happen in either our private dream space (our mind maybe), or sometimes public dream space. In this public space we may encounter other dreamers and lucid dreamers and maybe some entities that can navigate dreams, and we can easily change the environment here.

And I also believe, that there are places outside of our mind, which are real and we can not change them as easily as in dreams, or we can't change them at all. These can be occupied by different entities, souls of departed, and all kinds of other inhabitants. I have never had this type of experience, so I'm can't say this for sure. But I did have a few OBEs and in some of those I did feel both of my bodies, as you are describing. So I know, that our consciousness can exist outside of our physical body.

Not sure if you have read these, but I found these books/articles quite good. Not sure if I believe all that they are saying, but it's up to us to decide on our own.

Astral Travel and life after death I have read Multidimentional man. It's not a guide book, but a very nice and descriptive accounts of authors astral travels. This linked website has tons of info you may find interesting.

Thank you, I have read some books about near-death experiences. It is of course quite different, but somehow also strangely related... I will bookmark this site and look into it someday.

The strange thing is... when I'm trying to find some guide about how to exist in that weird space, how to provoke these dreams with more accuracy, and how to deal with it, I simply cannot find anything like that. Makes me feel kind of weird, like I'm the only one, who can experience these things so deeply, or like I encountered some taboo, secret knowledge, that sort of thing

For example the only thing resembling a guide, was an article about some magical numbo-jumbo, concerning doing some spells, drawing pentagrams, summoning guardian ghosts, and performing some strange rituals. I will never try any of those, because I believe in such things, and have too much respect for old beliefs, to ever try summoning some ancient powers and spirits for my gain. My own "powers" seems to be enough, all this stuff I can do I learned through experimenting by myself, just imagining that I can do it, and by talking with my friend, who gave me some ideas about how to protect myself.

On the other hand, safe articles about this, offer too little or nothing for me to use. It's kind of like... I am able to solve formulas with square roots, but all knowledge I can find is about addition and subtraction. Sure, academic knowledge about this may be interesting and fascinating, but I was wondering if someone actually knows these places better than I do, is there some experienced traveller, and so on.. Maybe someday I will find someone of this sort.

But thanks, maybe I will find something useful in these articles. I appreciate that.
