      Daylight

Hey guys,I often realize that am dreaming while indoors, I then always think that there are much more possibilities for lucid "actions" outside (like flying and stuff).
But every time I go out there is dark and I cant seem to shed a light on my surroundings.
I feel like I dont have enough rendering power in me so that I could see as far as I would in broad daylight.
      Any tips?

      Easy.
1: Find a light source. If you can't find one, expect to find one behind you when you turn around...
2: Make it bigger and stronger.
How you do it is up to you. You could use a wireless light switch... Or shoot it with a magic ray gun... You could do it just by thinking about it...
A couple of days ago I made a star into the sun by pointing my fingers at it and spreading them like I would when zooming on my phone...
You could also just grab the sky and spin it, so that the sun rises... Use your imagination, ANYTHING is possible remember...

Edit: You have enough rendering power don't worry Believing in that kind of limitations can make any problem more difficult deal with though.

      Thank you for your answer.
I was trying this method on a street lamp
      Couldn't make it stronger.
I'll sure as hell gonna try spinning the sky.
      Sounds amazing.

      Good luck!

If you find you have trouble there are lots of good threads in the dream control subforum about increasing lucidity and all that stuff. Definitely worth a read.

Dont worry too much about the light. For me lightswitches just dont work. so if its dark in the room i cant just turn on the light. but normally if you just dont bother and keep on going with the dream as if there is enough light it gets bright enough by its own. its all about focus. if you focus on the fact that it is too dark it will be to dark and might even get darker but you see enough so just continue your dream and just like that it will be good.

outside atleast for me its easier because there i can turn night to day and vice versa. i just hold my hand into the sky and pull it up imagining i pull up the sun and normally it works just fine. or you look at the horizon and "know" that every second the first shine of the sun will be there and from there you will have a beautiful sunrise

I've encountered the problem of everything being dark and not being able to see in LDs before, and this usually works for me. If I ignore the problem and just go about my business (doing my best to explore in the dark, maybe feeling, tasting, smelling, etc., to keep myself occupied in the meantime), I'll usually get visuals again eventually. This strategy is useful in general for any little “problems” you might encounter in LDs. Something happening that you don't like? Distract yourself from it long enough, and it should go away!

Another idea might be to try to experiment with playing with the indoor environment you're in and see if you can change it: Maybe you can find (or transform it into) a room large enough to do what you're doing, or change it into something that looks a bit more like outdoors, or something like that—some creativity might help. (Even if you get a result that wasn't quite what you had in mind, it might nonetheless be interesting and fun in itself.)
