You might have had a low level of lucidity. Or it could of been some sort of lucid nightmare, which would explain the fear. Either way, both are normal and can be overcome with a bit of practice, so don't worry. |

Alright so my first "lucid dream" was awhile ago and it was a DILD and I have not had one since. Anyway in my dream After I did a reality check I didn't know what to do in the bad way Like, I was TRYING to wake myself up because for some unknown reason I got REALLY scared. After that I saw a bunch of colors and woke up. I'm kinda interested in what might have happened. Any ideas? |

Yeah, sometimes we can freak ourselves out, just like that. |

Lucidity in dreams is so unnatural in general that the mind can freak out the first few times. It is like the brain sees a huge problem and puts on the breaks. I always suggest talking to your brain as if it is a child, and reassure it that you are attempting to learn a new skill, and that it is a good thing. |
