      Hey Ladies and Gentlemen,

It's spiritofthewolf, some of you may know me, some of you may not, for those who dont, HELLO! And For those who have read my post/tutorials and know somewhat about me, hey again... Just to give a litlte bit of background on me i have been Lucid Dreaming now for about 19 months, and have had 98 Lucid Dreams.. I guess you can consider that alot, but i would have alot more (prolly about 120 by my 2 year mark) If i had kept trying to Lucid Dream...

Now I'm not saying im giving up on Lucid Dreaming-- I never will -- its just the simple fact that Ive had enough experience in the STATE OF AWARENESS that I know, that I dont even need to try to Lucid Dream anymore, because i simply know that they will happen again.. Why? Because I have crossed the border into being awake inside my dreams... And so have you (if you have already had a Lucid Dream that is) That is why i dont try each and everynight like I did in the beginning to have Lucid Dreams.. It honestly tired me out some nights because I was trying so hard... Keeping a Dream journal was getting to be a pain (specially when you would Remember 9 dreams--All of them in the morning when i would wake up--with every detail intact)..

Dont get me wrong, i still take B6 here and there to help increase the vividness of my dreams....But at the moment my sleep cycle is wayyy off. I stay up late into the night (last night i went to bed at 6am and woke up close to 1 in the afternoon)

All i am sayin is that I know for a fact that more Lucid Dreams will come...It just that trying each and everyday to get one to happen, just doesnt work for me anymore...I stopped doing that a while ago..I just take each night as they come, understand that I am going to dream, and be thankful for that..Because each night that comes is a night for me to Lucid Dream natrually...

I even stopped doing RC's for the most part, I maybe do about 10 a week, its really crazy cuz i use to do like 30 a day.. I average now days probably about 4 Ld's a month ( i remember one time i had 7 LD's in 10 days)

The great thing about Lucid Dreaming is, if I wanted to get more LD's all i would have to do is try..But for now, I shall stay across the border, happy, relaxed, and understand that, now that i have crossed over the line of waking in my dreams..there simply is no turning back.....and that goes for all of us...

      thank you,

      spiritofthewolf

I'm with your spiritofthewolf. Why go through all the hastle of doing reality checks and other things that involve the conscious mind, which are for the most part ineffective for me, when I can get right to the subconscious mind where the lucid dreams occur, and influence it using self hypnosis from the book you passed along in another post. I still do reality checks, but I've started doing them differently. I imagine myself doing doing a reality check and then becoming lucid instead of actually doing a reality check, in order to influence my subconscious mind where the dreams occur.

That's a huge mistake. I thought I was that good - stopped DJ, got too involved in RL, stopped practicing techniques and my ability to LD went away... Now I gotta work real hard to regain my ability to LD like I used to...

If you are content with 1-2 LDs a month for many months than go ahead.

I would keep up at least a little practice (wouldn't you like to control your own world)??? eh, it's your call, I see passiveness as a good method as well.

I know what you mean about the dream journal, spiritofthewolf. It got to the point where it took forever to describe my 4+ dreams in detail each morning. Now I only use the journal for the really good dreams--the ones where I wake up and I'm just in awe.
I stopped doing RC's as well. I figure as long as I'm constantly aware of my surroundings, that's enough to put any RC to shame.

Yeah....I'm actually in the period where I slow down on doing RCs and lucidity comes about twice a week, which is really a relief (after trying soooo hard having any LD).....so I think I got what you said...
