Question I pushed it to the max.

Heres the low down. Sometimes when imfalling asleep i feel this pulse that surges through my body. Now, i've read about it numerous times and its happened numerous times so i figured its just the beginning stages of entering a dream state.

So these pulses usually start of slow and slowly build up in frequency and intensity, often they get so intense that it will jog me back out of sleep. but today (this morning) i tried something different, i sped them up. I dont know exactly how i did it but either i though about them speeding up or just mentally pushed them along. the pulses rapidly shot from slow to superfast and the noise that i hear (which accompanies each pulse) also got loud and faster paced. At this point the pulses were so close together that it was more of a hum and the pulse noise was also so close so that it sound like a single tone (there were some mild hallucinations also). The tone got higher and higer pitched (and louder) as it got faster and faster untill.... it stoped.... and then... i heard.... music.

but it wasn't just noise that im calling music. it was very clearly defined music. at one point there was a guitar playing and i heard everything very clearly. whats really strange is that it was very well composed but it wasnt't anything iv heard before. i could kind of change the feel of the song if i thought hard enough but other than that it was just as if i was an audience member at a concert. another thing that i though was weird was that the music always go where i though it would, thought it didnt sound bad. but i think it just proves that i wasnt making it consiously cause then it would sound how i was thinking it would sound.

for the recored i come from a pretty musical background and i think that might have some influence on this.. but im just curious as to what others think of this and also if anyone has had a similar experience.

it also put me into a semi lucid dream, but then i lost it.

maybe if it happens again you should really try to listen to the music and remember it. that would be a cool way to write songs

You WILDed my friend, and be excited!

I recently have been experiencing the same thing over the past week.

Heres what usually happens: (Very similar to you)

I start falling asleep, telling myself I'm going to LD and all that good stuff. Before I know it I start hearing very strange noises, and my body seems to be tingling/pulsing. The weird thing Is I seem to have control over it and I feel like I'm holding it back. Once I'm aware of that I "Let Go" and my body feels like it surges and then the play in my head follows. Just this morning I was seeing shapes, feeling my body surge, and hearing a VERY VERY distinct guitar playing a song which I had never heard. I then slowly watched different thoughts/visions almost float bye me. (I noticed a song on the radio earlier that day was now playing in the background)

I noticed these thoughts going by (Potential dreams) kept coming close to being full and vivid. So I chose one going by and I felt like I almost zoomed in on it and stepped through and BAM! I look down at my hands and realize I just made a full conscious transition into a LD. Its quite awesome Tough to do, but practice makes perfect!
